he hadn’t realized it until it was almost too late, he had ducked seeing the bludger just a second before it had hit him square in the face, “thanks,” he breathed out a sigh in relief before shaking his head, “are you alright?” he had placed a hand on his arm, trying to assess any damage knowing he wouldn’t be able to do much either way.
Satisfied that he’s put enough distance between them and the bludger for now, Ned hops off his broom, though he keeps his bat at the ready. He offers the man a grin when his hand arrives on his arm, equal parts an attempt to reassure him and a display of bravado. “Yeah, fine - think I got off lightly, seeing as I was in the air when it all kicked off,” he says, looking around at the carnage and feeling privately, stupidly glad that the Bats had decided to host this match at their grounds. “So, what’s your deal - healer, auror, concerned civilian?”
