So many times the mean girl in movies would put on a fun performance with singing and dancing and lights just to lose to the boring main character who just stood there and sang a slow song it’s twisted it’s sick

Jane Austen really said ‘I respect the “I can fix him” movement but that’s just not me. He’ll fix himself if knows what’s good for him’ and that’s why her works are still calling the shots today.
Booty shorts that say “essential npc” across the ass
pacific rim be like, we’re gonna give you unparalleled tenderness between two warriors, each with a tragic past that has hardened them emotionally, and we’re gonna do it in the context of a movie about fighting giant space monsters with huge robots. fucking checks all my boxes thank you
actually not to long ago i saw a blog on here that said “don’t follow if you have intrusive thoughts about ___” and if i may be frank, that’s always the direction that post that’s like “intrusive thought: eat leaf” was heading and the kind of impact it would have.
intrusive thoughts are by nature of existing unpleasant, triggering, frightening, and overall intrusive. the intrusive thoughts someone has are often more emblematic of what most distresses and disgusts them as opposed to manifestations of actual desires. it’s not something you can control, and while you can learn to cope with it, it’s still a serious symptom of many serious and painful mental disorders, many of which are very stigmatized such as OCD.
by whitewashing what intrusive thoughts are a lot of people saw actual intrusive thoughts as fringe and therefore repulsive, so it has become harder to garner sympathy and support for people who actually experience it.
when we say we need you to support people with intrusive thoughts and stigmatized mental illness- we mean people with ALL types of intrusive thoughts because if you think you can pick and choose you are sorely mistaken

Fanfic writers and readers watching the new Bridgerton show on Nextflix:
Emmett definitely had frosted tips throughout the whole saga- smeyer just didn’t mention it cause she didn’t think it was necessary

best part is, in that scene she actually says ‘are there girls who don’t like [as in being attracted to] girls?’, which means she thought being a wlw was literally a universal experience for women. that kind of makes the scene cuter if you ask me. this is from ‘Doctors’ btw.
Up until like 7th grade I also thought that everyone was gay except for the people on TV and let me tell you, I was very upset and confused when I found out about heterosexuals.
“I was very upset and confused when I found out about heterosexuals.”
“Feminism can be a friend to science. It not only improves how science is done by pushing researchers to include the female perspective, but science in turn can also show us that we’re not as different as we seem. Research to date suggests that humans survived, thrived and spread across the globe through the efforts of everyone equally sharing the same work and responsibilities. For most of our history, we lived hand in hand. And our biology reflects this.”
Reading Inferior has been extremely eye-opening, not only because it investigates gaps in scientific research, or because of the new research and scientists it introduced me to, but because it has the potential to make us radically rethink the story of us.
