Happy Birthday. // Konoha

Shintaro had remembered every year about what the twenty-fourth of December meant. Not only was it Christmas Eve, something his sister never let him forget but it was Haruka's birthday and that had carried over to Konoha, too. That was why he had paid someone to make all of the elder's favorite foods and he had put them in the best bags he could find so they weren't completely noticeable, not that he didn't expect Konoha to be able to smell the fragrance.

Thanking the cook, he set off to find the other teen, wondering if he remembered about his own birthday. Ah well, if not, Shintaro could just tell him. As he thought that, he ran into the exact person and blinked before smiling softly. "Happy Birthday." He remarked before passing the gifts over.

Shintaro hadn't seen the tugging need that had enveloped him as anything more than punishment for everything that had happened before he had come to the facility. To be honest, he accepted it and that was why he waited around a bit before he decided to go searching for the girl he was connected to. The only reason he had was because he had realized she must be feeling the same thing and he didn't want to put anyone else through pain.

When he found her, ironically enough it was in the apartment like area they shared with other people and he could feel the relief coming in waves since the pulling, empty feeling was gone. He hadn't known what gender his partner would be, but seeing it was a girl, and a beautiful one at that, stopped him in his tracks.

He felt his voice freeze in his throat as he looked her over, making sure not to let too many emotions pass that way she wouldn't be overwhelmed. After a moment, he breathed and turned away, cheeks flushing. "S-Sorry..." He mumbled, closing his eyes and taking a few deep breathes.

"So, we're partners? I'm sorry." He remarked now, knowing full well the emotions she would feel coming off him at times would be something she really didn't want, and he wasn't sure he wanted to indulge and freak her out after they had just met.
