I made a playlist, of some of my favorite and most inspirational songs. People always ask me what kind of music I listen to, well , this is it. I’ll keep adding onto the playlist as I go, but I think this is a pretty good start. The playlist includes Lil Peep, Shamana, Holy Other, Lorn, Fraunhofer Diffraction and so on.

Yes! Only compare yourself to your former self. This is important especially if you know other artists. Social media makes it really easy to feel like you’re living on someone else’s timeline. Make sure that you’re always keeping track of how far YOU have come, no one else should be stopping you from creating your own art , at your own pace.

You’re a business, ACT LIKE ONE.

Being an Artist means being a Business owner

YOU are a brand.

That means YOU are the business. Shit, you might even have to get some business cards!

Which means you also have to know all of the same things a business owner knows now . • Know your audience – Who’s listening to you, Who’s REALLY listening. • Know the market • Know the costs of investing into yourself (a.k.a your brand, a.k.a. Your business)

Which brings me to the next point…

IT SHOULD COST YOU ZERO DOLLARS! … at first.

Want to know how much it costs to be an artist these days ?

Promos ($5-$100’000 per song/event) Photoshoots ($50 – $200 an hour) Videos ($300 – $10’000 per video) Websites, Clothes, Events… etc
