I have ideas. Too many ideas for my own good. But I want and need to write. Like many I would love to have a novel or series published.
This account however will be dedicated to my fan fics mostly, my original writings and my overall progress.
I do a mix of posting and linking to my AO3 account when it comes to my fan fics. As of right now they occupy my attention so you’ll be seeing more of that for the moment.

Adam falls to Niffty's knife, but before he does a failed attack strikes the portal to heaven and cause it to close. This leaves a slowly dying Adam trapped in hell. However, it's not just Adam. Lute is by his side as well as nine Exorcists who never made it home. Now stranded in hell and with no other safe haven the angels have no choice but to accept Charlie's offer of shelter.
While Sinners and Exorcists fail to vibe we follow out Charlie, Vaggie, Frank, Angel Dust and Cherri Bomb on their outings, splitting up to pursue their own errands
On the hunt for every necessity the angelic guests need Charlie can't help but be overwhelmed with thoughts of Vaggie and her sisters, especially her relationship to a particular round bottom Exorcists.
Concurrent to this Cherri confides in Angel about her new and complicated feelings on the dearly departed serpent.
During which they can't help but notice the uproarious joy of the Pentagram in all its hellish joy and destruction.
Finally back to writing and it feels good and I hope I can keep this energy up. Updating a one of my bigger fics and...just noticing that I never made an initial post for this fic which I will remedy in a few seconds.
It's kind of pointless to mention because I'm not even back to writing fully and not close to this point but in my story I wanted to have lil'Borsalino meet and hang out with the Straw Hats but that wouldn't fit into the timeline where story takes place
On a trip to a Piltover parade Vi encounters a bit of trouble that sends her and Marcus fleeing from Enforcers and brings forth feeling that Marcus can no longer deny.
Marcus didn’t like parades as much as he wanted to. He used to love them and could his childhood days when he watched the parades with his mother and father. He would sit on his dad’s shoulders while his mom pointed out performers and details of floats that he missed. As he grew older, however, his enjoyment for parades waned. He no longer had his mother and father, he had no one significant to go with and he never felt like going with friends. Even if he did attend a parade his attention was always drawn elsewhere.
Becoming an Enforcer had changed the way he viewed things. More often than not he was working during parades scouting the crowd for any possible problems and troublemakers. Standing amongst the crowd in his uniform was meant to deter criminal activities and he was to scan the crowd as much as he could.
He didn’t have to do that now. Actually, he was trying to avoid falling into Enforcer behavior as much as he could at the moment. At the moment he wasn’t the Captain of the PPD, and he wasn’t completely Marcus. At the moment he was Marn. An Undercity citizen who came topside to watch the parade with his friends.
“Oh, oh! Marn look up there!” Powder, who was sitting on his shoulders, excitedly directed his attention upwards.
“What is it?” He asked, using his on his hands to shield his eyes from the sun.
“The vastayans up there! I’ve never seen that kind before!” She pointed.
Marcus adjusted his line of sight until he saw what captured Powder’s awe. There was a parade float with two levels. It was a mash up of jungle and pirate aesthetics with its participants dressed as adventurers. The second level had a trapeze set and trampolines. Currently there where three vatsayans bouncing on the trampolines doing all sorts of tricks, posing dramatically together after every completion of an act.
“They’re Shimons.” He states.
“Shimons?”
“Yeah, they live in Ionia and don’t tend to leave it much. Pretty sure those three have been there before.”
“Are they like in a circus or something?”
“Maybe.” Marcus shrugs.
The Shimons performed another set of jumps and tumbles, before rolling to the end of the platform. They bowed and waved signaling the end of their performance. Powder joined the crowd in giving enthusiastic applause.
“Vi, did you see that?” Powder turned to look at her sister.
To Marcus and Powder’s right was Mylo, next to him was Vi, and next to her was Claggor with Ekko sitting on his shoulders.
“Vi?” Powder tried to attract her sister’s attention. “Vi!”
“What!” Vi looked at Powder, her tone rough, but nothing that bothered the blue-haired girl.
“I was asking if you saw the Shimons?”
“The what?”
“The vatsayans that just passed.” Marcus pointed to the float that was further down now.
“Um…”
Powder began to pout some.
“It’s not that big a deal. We’ll see them again at some point.” said Vi.
As soon as the words left her mouth a warm feeling lit inside her, Powder and Marcus. The moment the feeling passed Vi and Marcus found themselves a brush of unsurety.
“She’s busy looking at the girls.” Mylo eyed Vi, finding satisfaction in the blush that appeared on his sister’s cheeks.
“N-no I wasn’t. Besides you’re one to talk Mylo, you’ve been looking at the girls more than anyone.” Vi crossed her arms defensively. “And I haven’t been looking at them.”
“She’s not really lying.” Ekko came to Vi’s defense. “I mean she looked at a few of them, but mostly she’s looking for someone.”
“The council girl?” Powder asked.
“No!” Vi stubbornly denied.
“Yes!” Mylo, Ekko, and Claggor countered.
A hearty chuckle started in Marcus’ stomach and escaped him in a laugh.
“Sorry, to disappoint you Vi, but Caitlyn won’t be here today.”
“What!” Vi’s face fell. “But she said she’d be here.”
“Oh! Someone had a date. OW!” Mylo teased only to receive a punch to the arm.
He started rubbing it hoping to discourage a bruise from forming.
“Apparently a family friend gave birth recently so the whole family went to see them today.” Marcus continued.
“She couldn’t see the baby any other time?” Vi complained.
“Yes and no. The sooner she sees the kid, the better. Besides Councilwoman Kirammen took her so she definitely won’t have a say in leaving early either. I doubt she’d have any reason to keep Caitlyn away tomorrow.”
“Tsk. Whatever, it’s not like anything that special was happening today outside of the parade. We can meet up tomorrow.”
“There you go. Besides this is just the first parade. The celebration lasts three days. There’ll be a lot of small ones tomorrow and another big one on the third day.”
“Really!” Powder and Ekko looked at Marcus expectantly.
“Yep.”
“Jeez Piltover does a whole lot for nothing. All of this for some school.” Mylo scoffed.
“That school is the one that Ekko and Powder will be going to. Today marks when the school was founded and graduations happen on the third day. So, it’s not just some nothing.”
“Hmph.”
Marcus didn’t say anything more about the school, wanting to avoid another argument about the academy. They continued to watch the parade in peace. Mylo and Vi teased one another as a troupe of female dancers passed by. One particular float was tossing out candy, primarily aiming at the children. As consequence Claggor and Marcus found themselves pelted in the face with stray candy. One of the float performers had thrown too much candy twice, and high into the air to ensure Powder and Ekko would get some.
Though they could see the end of the parade approaching the six decided to leave early. Once they pushed through the crowd Ekko dismounted from Claggor’s shoulders. Powder refused Marcus the same courtesy.
“Come on Powder.” He tilted her left and right, feigning to tip her off of him.
“I’m not coming down until we get some food.” Powder laughs.
“Food sounds great.” Claggor commented.
“Do Pilties serve different food on celebrations and fair days?” Mylo asked.
“I hope they have those powered cake things.” Ekko said next.
“Funnel cakes?” Marcus offered.
“Yes! You have to buy me at least two!”
“You have your own money. Alright then, food is the plan.”
The children cheered in agreement. All but one.
“Vi?” Marcus turned to his right where she previously was.
Everyone came to a stop and looked around for the pink-haired girl.
Marcus was sure he saw her only a little way from everyone else. Her tense posture had set him on edge. He grabbed Powder from his shoulders and set her on the ground earning him a petulant “Hey!”.
“You lot stay here.” He told them sternly.
He carefully snaked through the oncoming crowd. When he was about halfway near her, Vi started to move further away. She discreetly made her way past two game tents towards the brick buildings.
‘It’s definitely not Caitlyn then.’ He thought.
Just as carefully as Marcus snuck past the tents, to and between the buildings. He just barely caught the heel of Vi’s shoe as it disappeared around a corner further ahead. Marcus hastened to catch up.
There at the end of the alleyway he saw her. Vi was peeking around the corner at something that Marcus couldn’t hear or see quite yet. She was so focused that she failed to notice him coming up from behind.
He clamped a hand over her mouth, wrapped his other arm around her waist and yanked Vi off of her feet. As he walked backwards Vi tried to elbow and headbutt him. Unfortunately, her feet made contact with his shins and knees, making him let her go.
He withheld his grunt as he did so, still making sure to keep Vi’s mouth covered. Now that she was turned around, Vi could see who her attacker was. Her brows furrowed and she shoved his hands off her face.
“What the hell Marcus?” She hissed quietly.
“Me?” He whispered back. “Why the hell did you run off?”
“Why does it matter?”
Marcus scoffed in disbelief, offense on his face.
“What does it-” Marcus ran his hand over his face and over the top of his head, knocking his hood off. “Cause you’re the one who causes problems. We’re all here to enjoy the festivities. Which means you can’t go around getting into fights.”
Vi rolled her eyes and waved Marcus off.
“Don’t start that Enforcer shit.” She snapped back as she returned to her initial spot.
“This has nothing to do with my job.” Marcus almost failed to keep his voice low.
“Uh, yes it does.”
Vi gestured with her head for him to join her. He pondered simply grabbing her again and running but reluctantly stomped over. He pulled his hood back on then peaked around the corner.
Three Enforcers cornered a pair of Undercity civilians.
“Fuck off! We haven’t done anything!” The first civilian, a small woman with red hir, yelled.
She clutched something behind her back. The second civilian was a tall lanky man with dark blue hair who was using himself to shield the woman.
“You’ve been harassing us all day! Why don’t you go and harass your own!” He shouted.
“Our own aren’t thieving rats. It’s always you bottom feeders.” One of the Enforcers said, a nasally voiced short man with a bulbous nose brandishing a club.
‘Kirt.’ Marcus noted.
Vi let out a low growl, her nails scrapped along the bricks. Marcus placed a placating hand on her shoulder.
“This doesn’t have to be an issue.” The second Enforcer spoke.
‘Megan.’ Marcus realized, even if he couldn’t see her too well.
The reason why he couldn’t see Megan was more than concerning. Megan’s older brother.
‘Baydn.’ Marcus grimaced.
Baydn was too big to seem real. A man so large that Vander would struggle and who was hell to tangle within close quarters. Marcus knew Vi would hate what he’s about to say.
“We need to go.” He whispered in her ear.
Her reaction was instantaneous. Vi whipped around and struck him. The resulting sound of her fist hitting his face echoed.
“Whose there?” Megan called out.
“We aren’t going anywhere!” Vi hissed at Marcus as he made an improved attempt at dragging her away. “Mar-”
It was quick and awkward. Marcus held Vi around the waist, faced downward. He ran and her legs flailed as he made two sharp turns around two corners far from the scene but further away from their initial entrance. Marcus came to an eventual stop and pressed himself against wall clutching Vi close. He didn’t relent his hold on her in spite of how much Vi tried to pry herself loose. Marcus listened for Megan and the others. There were no voices or footsteps.
Vi continued to fight with Marcus even as he creeped to the edge of the alleyway around the wall’s edge. Nothing. He sighed in relief. Followed by a deep frustrated breath. Marcus let his arms fall limp.
“Ugh!” Vi yelled as she swung at Marcus.
He let her hit him in the chest. When she tried to strike his face, Marcus knocked her hand aside. He grabbed it and didn’t let go. Vi swung her free hand and Marcus captured it as well. He switched their positions. Vi’s back hit the wall harder than intended and Marcus gave Vi a brief apologetic look. He pulled her arms into an X, held her wrists firmly, then kicked her feet apart so that they were splayed. Marcus stood between her legs as Vi thrashed against his hold to no avail. She gave up with an agitated grunt.
Vi breathed in.
‘3…’ Marcus counted. ‘2…1…’
“Fuck you Marcus, what do you mean we should leave them to those goons.” Vi snapped.
“I understand how you feel but we couldn’t just rush in there to help.”
“Why not!”
“AH!” A scream of pain from the Undercity man.
“NO!” A scream of terror from the woman followed.
“Marcus!” Vi pleaded.
“We can’t.” Marcus said, he kept his eyes downcast.
“You’re a dirty coward.”
“Think for a moment. Ignoring the other two that third Enforcer is a behemoth. And second of all I risk being caught if we help. We’ve been lucky, but that’s starting to run out.”
Another scream from the man followed by the woman.
“Leave him alone!” She begged. “Please leave him alo-AH!”
That was the final straw. Vi doubled her efforts to get out of Marcus’ trapping. Fighting until she was able to push her back off the wall. Marcus would counter by pushing her back and she kept fighting. Marcus leaned forward, putting on more pressure to keep Vi against the wall. That was his mistake. He was now in the perfect position.
Vi shot her head forward and up, her forehead colliding with Marcus’ chin. Marcus released his grip and stumbled back. Vi rushed him and shoved him to the ground. She started unwrapping the bandages on her right arm. She backed away as she did, staring at Marcus with disgusted.
“Wait!” Marcus yelled, panic was coursing in his veins.
He scrambled to his feet. Vi could do so much in so little time. Sure enough, when he made his way back to the scene of the crime things had drastically changed. Marcus watched as Kirt tried to restrain Vi and earned an elbow to the gut for his efforts. Megan was down though not out. However hard Vi had hit Megan, it left the Enforcer struggling to remember how her limbs were meant to work.
Vi dodged another ungraceful grapple attempt by Kirt. When she did Marcus was able to see her face. Vi had used her bandages to-somewhat poorly-but effectively enough wrap her face. Off to the side of the fight and against a wall was the Undercity couple. Both of them bruised and shaking as they held one another to their feet. Bile rose in Marcus’ throat.
“I can handle this vermin.” Baydn said as he glared at Vi. His voice was so deep and grumbling that it even gave Vi pause. “You,” he addressed Kirt. “Take care of the other trash. Megan, stand your useless ass up already and help him.”
“Bastard.” Megan spat as she shakily got to her feet.
Upon realizing that they were once again targets the couple fell into conflicting actions. Trying to flee and fighting with one another for who would shield who. Vi was struggling with reading Baydn’s movement, unable to escape and help the couple.
Marcus wasn’t sure what part of him acted, himself or Marn. He pulled his hood onto his head and tugged it as low as it could go. He charged forward and tackled Kirt, shoving the other man to the ground. Mid Kirt’s fall Marcus grabbed the man by his collar, pulled him closer and delivered a punch that knocked Kirt down and out.
“Ah!” Megan charged while wielding Kirt’s discarded club.
She swung and Marcus caught her arm. He grunted as he turned and flipped Megan over his shoulder. She hit the wall and found herself in the same state as Kirt.
Marcus sharply faced the couple making them flinch. Marcus looked them over and his eyes locked onto a scarf amongst the woman’s attire.
A yell rang out followed by a crash. Marcus and the couple turned their attention to direction of Baydn and Vi. Baydn had just thrown Vi who landed roughly on the ground. Marcus turned back to the battered couple and pointed at the woman’s scarf.
“Can I have that please?” He asked.
The woman nodded enthusiastically and quickly removed it from around her neck.
“Thank you. Now get out of here!” Marcus ushered.
“Thank you.” They replied.
Marcus gave them a small wave and wrapped the scarf around his face.
Baydn had picked Vi up once more and Marcus didn’t want to consider what the man would do. He grabbed Kirt‘s club and charged. Marcus struck Baydn on the back of his head. It didn’t do much damage, but surprised Baydn enough that he dropped Vi. It also…broke the baton.
‘Of course.’ Marcus frowned and tossed the baton to the side.
Marcus looked up as Baydn focused on him and-
‘Shit!’
He froze under Baydn’s glare. Baydn seemed bigger than Marcus recalled and he was unable to tell if that was truly the case or a fear-induced distortion.
“Marc-Marn!” Vi attacked.
She stomp-kicked the back of Baydn’s left leg, forcing the man to kneel. Then, for what Marcus could only chalk up to adrenaline, Vi leaped onto Maigan’s back and wrapped her arms around his neck. Not that it did much as she couldn’t even firmly lock her arms.
“Come one!” Vi yelled.
It wasn’t a challenge to Baydn, but a call for Marcus. He stepped forward and threw a right hook. His fist hurt but there was satisfaction in earning a grunt of pain from Baydn. A left hook, another right hook, and a left uppercut. Marcus’ fist would be bruised but at least Baydn was bleeding from a busted lip and nose.
However, just as fast as things turned to their favor it turned back around. Marcus threw another right that Baydn caught.
‘Oh, fu-’ Marcus’ thought was cut short by Baydn’s fist colliding with his face.
Getting hit by a car was probably softer. Marcus hit the ground and Vi let out a rage filled roar. She dropped her chokehold, clenched one hand on Baydn’s collar, dug her knees into her back and began bashing her opposing elbow onto Baydn’s head.
Baydn twisted trying to grab some part of Vi or shake her off. Despite his hat now blinding him, Vi’s knee slipped allowing Baydn to grab her leg.
She was easily pulled off and slung into Marcus just as he was rising to his feet. A small break in the fight occurred as everyone reassessed their conditions.
Megan was standing now though her knees wobbled.
“Who’s the useless bastard now.” She goaded her brother.
“Thought you could handle her.” Kirt mocked in in his nasally voice. “Who’s this second blight?”
‘Your damn boss!’ Marcus internally snapped back.
“Doesn’t matter.” Baydn grunted. “They’ll both rot in Stillwater.”
The statement wasn’t fully out of Baydn’s mouth before Vi and Marcus were up and running. While they were aching Marcus and Vi’s legs were otherwise stable. They ran back the original way they came and upon reaching their exit they tripped into the crowd. Marcus pulled his scarf down to take better breaths.
“This way!” Marcus grabbed Vi’s hand and pulled her along.
They ran in the direction of where Marcus had left the others. They weren’t there and Marcus found himself oddly conflicted. On one hand he was frustrated that he couldn’t round everyone up. On the other hand, he was glad they wouldn’t be drawn into the chase.
From behind them Baydn bellowed.
“Enforcer business out of the way!”
“All present Enforcers apprehend those two individuals.” Megan yelled.
“Shit!” Vi put enough irritation into the word for both her and Marcus.
Marcus felt guilty as he pushed aside residents, even hurting a few who tried to assist the law. Vi had no such conflict. Instead, she focused on keeping track of the chasing Enforcers.
Just ahead was a makeshift food court. There’s a small crowd of people that lets Vi and Marcus rethink their situation. The yells and parting crowd told them how close the Enforcers are.
“Vi! Marn!”
Their name and pseudonym rang over the confused murmurs. They both looked to their right and saw everyone at a wooden table, several people and feet from them. Powder, who had shouted, was standing on top of the table. Ekko stood to join her while Mylo turned around confused and mouth full. Claggor studied Vi and Marcus worried and ready for an order.
There was only one good option.
“My house!” Marcus yelled.
Marcus and Vi took off again. They each sidestepped an Enforcers making their attackers crash into oncoming allies.
They ran and ran, their legs burning even more by the time they made it to a set of stairs. Down the stairs and towards a bridge, a shortcut to Marcus’ home. Vi picked up speed to run beside him.
“You’re not going to make it going that slow.” She joked to ease his nerves.
Marcus increased his pace. They made it to the bridge, planted their booths on the edge of the railing and launched themselves over the edge. A trolley usually ran at this time of the day and thankfully the day’s festivities didn’t change that.
Vi and Marcus landed hard, rolled and righted themselves. They started to smile in relief, but the smiles vanished immediately at the sound of a heavy thug. A second thud. A third thud followed by a yelp.
“Just give up already!” Vi demanded then turned to Marcus. “They’re your fault.” She sneered.
Marcus rolled his eyes. Annoyingly Baydn and Megan had made it onto the trolley. Kirt did so as well but apparently slipped off given that he was now gripping onto the edge.
“This is your last warning.” Baydn said brandishing his baton and bola.
Megan unholstered her gun. No one cared that Kirt had lost his fight to pull himself aboard and that he landed painfully onto the rail and gravel. Marcus’ eyes focused on Megan’s gun.
Stay in disguise. Stay in disguise. Stay in disguise. No matter what the moment Marcus put on his Undercity clothes he was meant to act the part. To endure the experience. By luck, all of those previous experiences had never involved a gun.
Marcus began to raise his hands in surrender. He couldn’t keep the act up. It was unwise to do so in this moment.
“Wai-”
Baydn threw the bola. Vi tried to catch it like Marcus had shown her and the others. She succeeded in not being tied up but failed still as the bola completely entrapped her left arm. Marcus grabbed Vi by her right arm and pulled her out of the way of Baydn’s club swing. With her brother now bent over Megan raised her gun and fired at Marcus. The bullet barely missed Marcus but startling him. He released his grip on Vi and fell onto his back. He riskily rolled out of the way Baydn trying to stomp on him.
This particular trolley was one of the few that traveled at high speeds. Falling off wrong would result in numerous injuries. Some rough, but manageable and some serious. Though at this speed the wrong fall could end in death. Fighting on top of it was already a bad idea. Fighting against Megan and Baydn on such a fast-moving trolley felt vaguely suicidal. More importantly he couldn’t get separated from Vi.
Two gunshots rang out.
“Ah!” It was more a yelp than a scream, but still made Marcus’ run cold.
He and Baydn turned to see the result that caused the scream. A bullet had struck Vi and to Marcus’ relief it wasn’t a critical injury. One bullet had grazed Vi’s arm leaving a wide gash. Megan took aim again.
“No!” Marcus rushed to his feet.
Baydn seized Marcus’ hood and pulled him back. Megan fired at Vi again, hitting the copper-gold bola and ricocheted almost hitting Vi in the eye. It scared the young girl into a crouch. Marcus reached up behind him trying to find Baydn’s face. Once he did Marcus pressed his finger into the giant man’s eye.
Baydn pulled away and Marcus could partially see, partially sense that Baydn was about to bite his thumb off. Marcus withdrew his hand, leaving Baydn’s teeth to clack together painfully. Marcus thrusted his palm up striking Baydn’s chin. Baydn released Marcus to cradle his jaw.
Marcus turned his attention to Megan. He charged the woman wrenching her hand upwards sending her next shot went skyward.
Megan tries to wrestle control farm Marcus, but she’s far Vi’s skill and strength.
“Ah-ow!” Megan screamed when Marcus twisted one of her wrist.
She lost the struggle.
“You bast-”
With a built of guilt Marcus sending her off the trolley’s roof and roughly into a cluster of bushes. Just short of where the trolley started traveling over the bridge leading to their shortcut.
“Marn!” Vi yells and Marcus felt himself shoved out of the way.
He watched as Vi took a strong kick meant for him. The impact knocked the wind out of her, leaving her unable to scream as she went over the edge of the trolley’s roof and off the bridge.
“No!” Marcus screamed.
There was a small part of him in the back of his head that knew she was relatively safe. The Undercity part of him that’d been carefully cultivated by the motely children. But just below the bridge was a shameful amount of trash that was always last to be picked up in Piltover, an embarrassing secret that most of the city didn’t know about. It was his and the gang’s crude shortcut to his home. He needed to jump now, his window of time was closing fast.
Despite the pain of the start of their encounter Marcus still wasn’t keen on shooting one of his Enforcers. Marcus took Megan’s gun and shot Baydn in the leg.
“Fu-UGH!” Baydn crumpled.
If he wasn’t clenching his leg and wincing in pain, Badyn would have probably questioned why some Undercity swine was giving him back his sister’s gun. Maybe he would later when the adrenaline faded and the pain eased. There the empty gun would be in the waistband of his uniform.
Finally, Marcus jumped from the trolley. It’s not the most ideal spot at this point of the bridge. There’s less trash in the spot he plummeted towards. The landing was uncomfortable and irritated his current injuries but thankfully didn’t create any new ones and even more importantly the fall didn’t kill him.
‘I’ve gotten too used this type of landing.’ He thought, trying to humor himself and push back his nerves.
“Marcus!” Vi called out.
All at once his emotions rushed to the forefront. He fought with the trash to rise up. He scooted down and down until he hits a loose spot. Marcus slid the rest of the way and stumbled onto his feet. Vi was there. Her bandages had vanished, her left arm was mostly free of the bola, and her breathing was only slightly ragged.
“Nice landing.” She tried to joke.
Marcus struggled to pull the scarf off but when he did Vi was caught off guard by his expression. A clash of shock and anger and fear and relief.
“Marcus?” Vi probed. “You…you good?”
Marcus didn’t speak. He didn’t move.
Vi tensed and opened her mouth to say something else. Before she could Marcus grabbed her in a flash. She wasn’t sure how to react at first. Marcus’ embrace was crushing, and she could feel the occasional tremor of shaky breaths. With her arms trapped she couldn’t even give him a simple rub or pat on the back to communicate basic comfort.
“Jeez, Marcus.” Vi laughed small and unsure. “I’m fine. You should know that you don’t have to worry about me.”
When Marcus found his voice to respond it was shaky and low.
“And you should know by now that I always will.”
Everything came to a still as the words sank in. A soft surprise that acknowledged a secret uncertainty that they were always cautious about. Realizing that the hug had lasted more than a second too long, they parted a few steps, eyes not meeting. Marcus coughed and cleared his throat.
“With that being said,” He started softly, then his tone drastically changed. “WHAT IN KINDRED’S NAME WERE YOU THINKING!” He yelled at the top of his lungs.
By some miracle no one heard Marcus’ outburst.
“Me?” Vi responded with incredulous fury. “Me! WHAT ABOUT YOU!” She stomped forward, crossed her arms and looked up at Marcus to glare him down.
Marcus huffed from his nose unimpressed. If anything, Vi’s demeanor angered him more. He mirrored her posture and glared back.
“That works better when you’re taller than the other person. And I stand by everything I said earlier.”
“Ugh! Why is this still so hard to get all the way into that thick skull?” Vi radiated frustration. “Look at your clothes! Look at what you just did to those Enforcers. What you did for that couple. The people in the Undercity look out for each other. Especially up here.”
Marcs lost. He had to look away to get his thoughts together. He opened his hands then made fists, over and over.
“You’re still just a Piltie bastard.” Vi said it low, but Marcus still heard it.
He breathed in sharply as though recovering from a slap. Vi noticed and there’s a bitter after taste in her mouth. She opened it to say something but floundered. She wasn’t technically wrong in what she said. Primarily.
“You’re not a bastard.” Vi uncharacteristically mumbled.
Marcus shook his head.
“Yes, I am. I’m a bastard from Piltover. And that’s something I need you to remember. I know this routine by now, but I’m still on both sides of this.”
He ran his hands through his hair.
“I see the problems from Piltover, but I still have big problems with the Undercity. But I’m still from here. The core of my life is here. I’m the Captain here. It’s-”
“It’s not that easy.” Vi finished. “It doesn’t seem too hard, but I guess I’ve been simplifying your side of this experiment.
“Mm?” Marcus rocked his head side to side.
His face and shoulders relaxed. Vi smiled and let herself relax too. Marcus gave a sigh that Vander tended to do when he has something serious to gently say.
“All of this wasn’t just because of my whole double life thing either. I also didn’t want you to get hurt.”
They both directed their attention to the gash created by the bullet.
“I’m fine.” She shrugged. “It’s only a bit worse than my usual injuries.”
“That’s not a good thing. You know that right?”
Marcus took Vi’s left arm and started unwrapping the bola the remainder of the way.
“You could have been injured even worse.” He continued. “You could have been killed.”
Vi studied Marcus. His face pulled into a dread filled frown and his eyes plead for her to understand. This wasn’t about his role as everyone’s (third) guardian or his responsibilities as an adult.
The silence returned. Marcus has successfully removed the bola and automatically started getting it back into its sphere form. Vi tapped her fingers against her pants.
“This is awkward.” She said.
“Hm?”
“This.” She gestured vaguely between them. “I expected you to still hate us at this point.”
“This far in?” The bola clicked and Marcus pocketed it. “I know I was a bit of a prick when this started.”
“An ass.” Vi corrected.
“But I’m not cold hearted.”
“Aw, what a softie.” Vi said with Powder like playfulness.
“Your one to talk.” Marcus chuckled.
They continued their conversation as they started towards Marcus’ home.
“Its still weird.” Vi said. “I think old me would think that was threatened or brainwashed or beaten into being like this.”
“Really?” Marcus frowned at Vi’s comment.
She nodded, not catching why he was displeased.
“And you?” She asked.
“Given that once I never did?” He looked at her.
Vi looked at him expectantly. Marcus was still unsure about the Undercity’s humor coming out of someone so young. He shrugged.
“The same I guess.” Just as soon as the words left his mouth, he snapped his fingers. “No. I’d probably think that I was blackmailed by Grayson.”
“Just make sure you save me some if they did. I’m going to take a shower the moment I step through the door.”
The sun began to set bathing their path in gold. They moved slower than intended as weariness sets into their muscles and they recovered from their emotional exchange. They fell into peaceful lulls of silence between conversations of lighter topics. Plans for tomorrow, Marcus telling Vi things about Kaitlyn, and Vi suggesting possible punishments for the three Enforcers.
Vander and Grayson have a deal that keeps the Undercity as safe and free from Enforcer hands as possible. It's a secret that is only shared with Benzo. At least initially it was. At some point Marcus is pulled into the know and now thanks to almost murderous means Vi, Powder, Mylo, Claggor and Ekko know about the treaty that Vander and Grayson made.
The future of said treaty weighs on Vander and Grayson's minds when an idea strikes. For the future of the Undercity their respective proteges need to get to know one another more from their personality to the life they live.
How?
By Marcus taking on an identity as a new Undercity resident and Vi, Powder, Mylo, Claggor and Ekko making sure they watch over their new friend.
Chapter one of my fic is up and continuation on it will be...slow to say the least, but I couldn't sit on the chapter any longer
aka cringy title to talk about my no need to exist writing woes
aka this girl ain't clever.
If you decided to read this...it's a lot.
Also forgive the fact that this will come off like fic pushing/propaganda (? word choice?)
AND Let's get going
I wish for this be the last time I whine and ramble on this blog. I mean realistically it won't be, I know myself.
Anyway I've been having quite the time with writing.
Now I have a multitude of reasons ranging from tragedies, lethargy, renewing my faith, work, writer's block, distractions and other things that can hinder authors from writing.
However I need to get back to my writing. I'm trying my damndest to find the balance between doing it and drawing due to my interest, it'd be fantastic if I could.
So a bulk of what I do right now is fan fics. To my shock some of them actually have readers that keep up with them and look forward to updates. I am one of the worst updaters and I feel sick on the lack of it that I do. I can only hope the readers are patient and forgiving😔.
So in my infinite wisdom (and if you take one piece of advice from me is that pace yourself and don't have like 22 different fics started/starting at once. Especially when it's across multiple fandoms). Cause guess what this "genius" 🤦🏽♀️ has going on.
Quality all over the place (warning I'm about to be annoying)
Hazbin Hotel
One Piece
Stary Gods
Team Fortress 2
The Quarry
Arcane
RWBY
Yes I am absolutely mad woman. What's worse I'm about to dive a little bit into some of these.😅😅😓😓😓
Hazbin Hotel
For this I really on have one fic and I've commentated on it recently. I didn't know the second season was coming out this year and now I'm a little fearful of what will be in it that could affect my fic. Yes it's an au fic but that doesn't stop the canon being annoying to what is being written.
My Hazbin Hotel fan fic is my biggest story thus far and the most chapters. It's been the once crazy affected by all the above. But also I hit a dead point of the chapter and I really didn't vibe with it. So instead of trying to force through and redraft I decided to go back and start rewriting the fic. I still foresee some writing hiccups, but it's so far going a whole lot smoother. I predict this will be even longer than the previous chapter which is thus far my longest. If my writing is fortunate I'll be lucky enough to get the current chapter done and two done afterwards. One is realistic honestly but I'm hoping for two more.
It also has a little notes page that I'd like to update with a bunch of things.
One Piece
The subtitle for this section should be Borsalino. He is the center of all five of my One Piece fics. All started but two are up on AO3. The problem is once I start a fic I will think about it always. (seriously out of all the ones I've started there is only one that I have ever thought about just abandoning.)
But yeah one of the two fics is honestly really short, meant to be 3 chapters long but...I don't know. I'm still not too happy about the first chapter and I'm struggling like crazy with the second. I can't even skip ahead cause the flow of the second chapter relies heavily on chapter 2.
As for the other fic that's up it's another long one and I'm struggling with the current chapter (this is a pattern), but I do have ideas of future chapters. Thing is I'm not really sure about writing the future chapters without the current one being done, but maybe I just should. I'd hate to lose these ideas so far, but I just like things going in order. It doesn't help that the future chapters are what I'm looking forward to more than the current ones.
Then there's the other 3 started but not uploaded fics. One is a one shot it's just...I can't get the idea to flow correctly. And it's frustrating. It's also another angsty fic and I can't believe how many of those I have and maybe that's part of the problem. I might just be tired and unable to write anymore angst anymore (does not bode well for a few other fics).
The other two fics are pretty short. Two chapters for one and maybe four or five for the other. Not much to say about them for now.
Stray Gods
It's not remotely funny how much I need to finish the fic I have written for this right now. I just have the last two part of it two right and again I can't get the right flow. I just need to force it unfortunately and maybe the re-read for editing will make something click. It should have been done and up a month or so by now so let's hope I can get that right.
Okay also technically one of the fics isn't started but it's on my mind. It's a one shot like the one above
And the other fic is...well I don't want to say it's like a "mega" fic, but it's a big and a collection of 3 big fics. What I've started is actually the second selection of the 3 and honestly it is the one I'm the most excited to write, but still.
Team Fortress 2
My brain really said hey you know that comfort character you have and hyper fixated on right now. The one from the game that you've been reading a ton of flics of lately. You should jump into that fun. So guess what's battling for writing attention.
Like above these are so character centric and could just be subtitled Sniper. And technically I haven't gotten some of these started. One fic is started and per usual I'm struggling with the kick off and it's angsty so maybe that's why I'm struggling too, idk.
But I've got a grand total of four fics I have for this and oh joy three of them are over five chapters. Maybe one of them could be slightly shorter and by that I mean by one chapter, but I doubt that.
I like going in order but (what is possibly the biggest one of the bunch) is giving me hell.
Also though I have to...study kind of for this. I haven't read or watched the Team Fortress 2 shorts and comics in a long time. One of these also requires some farming research and I have no idea how to write accents.
I really want to get to these and it's a hinderance to other fics, but I'm going to be blatantly honest I'm a little weak to these and really want to work on them... 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😓
The Quarry
Holy shit I haven't been in the Quarry for a damn long time. I have to find a good playthrough. No commentary and with the ending I want. I really technically have one fic for this and I need to get back to it. IDK if I'll want to redo the entire first chapter which I dread but think might be necessary and how the subject matter is set up.
Truth be told I kind of hate...all of my Quarry fan fics. There's four to five (or four to six) that I'm particularly embarrassed about to the point of deleting. Two of them I even kind of want to re-write entirely.
Arcane
My Arcane fics are kinda fun. I only seem to work in AUs and this is one that I really am into. I've actually written for it a before. Write now I have a rough chapter and a half for the actually fic and 1/3 or 1/4 of a in universe one shot.
Writing for Arcane makes me nervous. I'm not good with politics and I don't know how to portray this story clearly. But I think I'll have to watch the first season to get my base for this story again. (Would be a nice reminder on how amazing the first season is.)
RWBY
Oh man my RWBY fan fic is one that I haven't touched since...since 2022 apparently. I still think about this. Another solid chapter plans for future chapters, struggling with the current ones. Something a commenter said made a lot of sense and now I'm trying to apply that, but holy shit I need get back to it.
I have the small audacity to briefly entertain an adjacent au, but I'm not.
^All of these fics^ It's a lot, like way too much.
And my mind has two more I would love to do, but I'm not going to. I have no motivating feeling towards them and it's too much of a few feelings for me to want to do it. I have vague thoughts about them but nothing that presses me forward.
OH!
And I think I'm a writer so on top of all of this I'm trying to make my own stories. One in which I've decided to lock in on. One part of why I also want to have my art balanced with my writing cause this and other projects include art.
There’s also some comic scripts (mostly fan based) that I want to try to write. Seeing as my drawing is lackluster to say the least and that leads me to writing what I would prefer to script, I really want to share the ideas. But also need to learn to script for my original ideas.
And I’m tuckered out at this point. I was writing all night until I was made to go to sleep so now the thoughts are all faded or gone.
Overall. I’m hoping to get more writing done or linked here. So next time I do a post it; first of all, won’t be that big and will be something significant about my writing.
And hopefully I can find a good layout for the blog. I’m still now happy with it.
I did not know that Hazbin Hotel season two coming out this year. I kind of hate it because I wish that I have gotten further in my fan fic.
I mean, really shouldn’t. I’m not sure how I’m going to feel any character revelations. So that might actually affect things.
The fic is meant to deviate from canon but not widely so.
If I do better with various things, maybe I can get more chapters out by then realistically with myself five would be ideal. Which isn’t much but I know me.
I need to slap myself silly. Why did I start and why am I failing to stop these ideas. I have reasons but holy shit so I lack the discipline.
I hate it even more cause I’m slow to write and slow to upload. Some how I still have (though 70/30 they’re tired and done with me) readers. I’m so thankful for that and they deserve to beat the shit our of me
To do what was required of home Borsalino had to set aside his heart.
After Egghead and finally back at Marineford all Borsalino wants to do is go home and rest in his melancholy. Unfortunately an Admiral's duties are meant to come first.
I locked my AO3 because I was afraid of AI and then I unlocked it so some people on a discord I'm in could read it. But the writer of a fic I like just said they got they're got all their works AI scraped and because of that I'm putting my account back on lock. Sadly I don't know if this has happened to me or not.
Given that the One Piece fan fics that I'm going to write/am currently working on are all Borsalino centered I think I'll might put them under one collection
This won't happen again. Such a quick turn around for a chapter update.
