ooo -- how would tesla look as a dog? :0 does he become a big fluff when he's mad (like, to pay homage for his resurreccion or smthn)?

As per this post I totally did not make just so there’d be context for these designs, resurrección could follow 2 different design paths. Pigs are cool, so I did both.

art game just gives me license to do less of a ‘dog version of a bleach character’s resurrección' and more of a 'kinda mutated amalgam of critters’ They ended up fairly similar this time tho.

Might as well talk about this a little bit. This whole AU was originally made to fit an art game on DeviantART (so if you’ve wondered what’s with all the drawings of fish and caves, those are for game points.) To make it fit the game’s world I had to adjust a few things that maybe don’t make sense in a Bleach-only context (this because I wanted the content I was making to be accessible to players that maybe didn’t read/watch Bleach,) but that doesn’t mean I don’t also want to explore stuff that leans away from the game’s world. ¿Porqué no los dos?

Art game lore stuff

Arrancar are reanimated dead, mask fragments become patches of missing skin and hollow holes become wounds when, Idk, it becomes obvious they’re dead? Sort of the equivalent of their release forms but, like, creepier.

Lilynette’s a ghost.

Zanpakuto spirits are familiars.

If I can get away with drawing hollows they’ll most likely look more like actual bones and withered anatomy rather than what they are in the series (big IF, last time I drew a hollow for a game drawing it didn’t fly and I had to change it :C )

Stuff that’s universal

Yoruichi is a dog that can turn into a cat.

Grimmjow is an angry big cat.

Shinigami characters are still psychopomps and spirit guardians of sorts; their job is still the same.

Bleach lore stuff

All the same except zanpakuto still don’t really exist because dogs with swords is never not silly looking. Don’t ask me how fights would work on this side of the AU, I’m not sure.

Kido exist only on this side of the AU.

Maybe arrancar characters have an alternate design that includes their mask fragments? Hmm...

What this mostly means is that there are ~~options~~ if you’re sending in a doodle request for arrancar or zanpakuto characters. ✨Glorious creature design options✨

M’kay apparently I gotta say this plain and simple, because it’s not clear.

This blog is a pro ShunNao blog. If that bothers you, feel free to unfollow me and block the ShunNao tag. I don’t owe anyone an explanation why I ship this, but on tumblr the concept of don’t like don’t look doesn’t exist. Which is exactly why there’s a fucking disclaimer on the blog. I’m in the camp that thinks that last arc was too damn vague and that no one is related. The timelines don’t match up, over a decade of character writing doesn’t match up, and I refuse to dwell on vague material that came out in what was clearly a poorly crafted arc written by a bitter person.

wow i just found you and i'm really impressed with these designs and animations! Could I request an Aizen?

Not only does he not really need glasses, but his ears aren’t actually the cute floppy kind >8U

Once I read a fic that portrayed pre-betrayal Aizen as so perfect it was creepy. I really liked that idea. That said, perfect dogs don’t exist, and it’s impossible for me to not draw little bits of fur that stick out here and there, but I did try really hard to give him proportions that were just Dang Pretty.
