COMMON BLINDSPOTS/ NO GO ZONES
this is a map of a target, however it was mostly used just so show the titles as a visual.
Red dots - No-Go zones, commonly heavily supervised, almost always cameras and is usually being watched. Green dots - Common blind spots, I think we all know what a blind spot is
No go zones - BEAUTY!!!! - jewelry - women’s - electronics - registers, please never conceal here it so stupid! Not only are there tons of cashiers watching, but they are heavily monitored with cams. - grocery (cropped oops) - pharmacy (also cropped oops)
Common blind spots - bedding/bath/kids rooms - pet care - cards & party - luggage - toys and games - baby - Windows/rugs (basically all home decor) - didn’t put a dot but cleaning supplies, especially like tissue, toilet paper, & paper towel sections
While this is a good guide, always double check for cams. This is just kinda to guide you to common blind spots to CHECK before you conceal. As all tips, take it with a grain of salt.

hi, i saw your barnes and noble post, i used to work at a barnes and noble, here are some tips:
- paperbacks get randomly tagged far less if almost never as compared to hardbacks. if you’re uneasy stick with paperbacks, specifically titles that have been out for awhile. you’re probably not getting a tag. - my store, nor any store in my district or as far as i know of, state, had LP. - no chase policy but they will call the cops if they think you’re moving out 50+ - NEVER TOUCH MEDICAL TEXTBOOKS. this is THE most sus place, heavily monitored. - take off the plastic over moleskins before you lift one! two people at my store set off alarms by making this mistake - if you’re lifting a lot of and are paranoid, buy a small item. like a bargain book or a journal. if you set off the alarm after purchase they will almost always just wave you through. the demagnetizing at the registers are for shit and they don’t care. - the cameras are in the managers office and, at least for my location (outside of mall, heavily trafficked) are rarely monitored- and when they are, bargain and gift are the most looked after. blindspots hugely vary by store- in mine they were the children’s department - the easiest way to steal from a B&N in my experience: come in looking put together WITH A BACKPACK CONTAINING AT LEAST A FEW BOOKS/ MAGAZINES/ NOTEBOOKS of your own, be friendly to all those on floor, walk around the store picking up whatever books you’re interested in (make sure you get some magazines, for leaving behind and bc they are never tagged) and then get a coffee at the cafe and set all your shit down, unpack your backpack mixing in all the books you brought with you in with the unpaid ones. look like you’re reading, working, whatever, for at least an hour. sort through the books, write things down, look like a student. then pack up your bag, mixing in the unpaid ones with those you brought from home, leaving some magazines and a book or two behind so you don’t look sus, then walk out. this has worked for me a dozen times since leaving B&N- have never been caught or set off the alarms. have probably lifted 1k worth of merch from varying B&Ns since leaving, lol. when you get comfortable enough, you can sometimes get away with carrying a magazine or two out of the store like it was yours to begin with without anyone noticing.
Hullo, I'm a lifter with a lifting blog that is actually a sideblog. I was wondering if I followed you would you still block? I could provide proof if you needed, I'm new to the community and I thought you seemed pretty cool :3 (I can't afford to be caught with a separate account for liftblr)
hi ofc sure go ahead feel free to follow !!
can't wait for the second back-to-school wave in september
crowded stores angry parents and hyperactive kids total chaos what a time to lift
all the carts and baskets will be called for so stuffing into your own bag won’t be so suspicious
the cameras will be useless and too full of people
extra displays out in isles create new blind spots
door monitors will be helpless to identify whoever sets off the towers
it’s a great time to lift
gonna go on a therapeutic lifting spree tmrw so excited !!
