Lordamere’s End; Grand Finale Pre-Cursor Information
All has come to this final moment; upon the high mountain of Alterac, the Horde attempts to hold for one night against the surrounding Alliance. Outnumbered, it will take every ounce of strength and courage to hold back this storm. The Horde must fight.
Blackmoon’s strike against Strahnbrad was just the beginning. The Kaldorei Warden, driven by vengeance, intends to see all of Alterac burn - and the Horde with it.
Ninth Legion’s Main Thrust
The main host of the Alliance’s Ninth Legion will march on the struggling western walls of Alterac, where the Blackheart Warband’s elites, its allies, a great number of the First Cohort will meet them. Here, the hammer will fall hardest, and if the Horde fails to hold, Alterac will be lost without question to the invading Alliance.
The best of the Ninth Legion will be sent against the Elites of the Horde, including their Dragoon-Squadrons and Knight companies.
Assaulting the north-western walls, the Alliance is bringing up its First Maniple, consisting of an even front of footmen and bowmen support - Catapults and ballistae in tow. The Alliance will seek to overwhelm the defenders upon the wall, so keeping the invading Maniple from overrunning the ramparts is key.
Coming from the south is the Stormpike Vanguard brought forth from the Headlands. Armed with dwarven steel and machinery, the Stormpike will likely seek to scale the walls and bring the fight toe-to-toe with Horde defenders, while their engines of destruction break the wall itself. Strength will be needed to hold them back, or perhaps even cunning.
Bringing the gate down will require Gnomish engineering. Just so, as the Seventh Legion dispatches its Tinkerguard to the gate, with its prototype machine at the fore to shatter the main gate of Alterac. Fire and fury is needed to keep the engineering of the Alliance away from the gate.
From the ruins of Strahnbrad, Blackmoon’s Sentinel Corps, lead by her Warden sisters, will bring the Kaldorei rage upon the most northern palisade of Alterac. To hold off the Kaldorei, the Horde must match their speed and agility, or bring overwhelming force against the vengeful Night Elves.
The Horde is not without its own powers to hold off this invasion. The Blackheart Warband can count on steadfast allies to help them hold Alterac against the invading Alliance.
The First Cohort will be stationed evenly across all points of assault, but without the allies the Blackheart has gained over the course of the campaign, they would be spread far too thin.
Fortunately, four companies stand ready to defend their Horde.
Rexxar’s Teeth; Alterac’s Garrison
The original garrison stationed in Alterac after the Battle for Lordaeron; this Horde battalion consists of all races of the Horde, and is lead by the Centurion Ju’kani of the Shatterspear, put in her position after the death of Rakata, the former Centurion at Strahnbrad’s fall at the hands of the Kaldorei.
A well-rounded, evenly focused group, Rexxar’s Teeth are ready to stand against any for by fang and claw.
Sylvanas’ Spear; Forsaken Resistance
Every single member of Sylvanas’ Spear watched the Alliance burn their homeland. The land they fought for in life and death, only to be taken by foreign invaders with no ties and faux-claims to it.
The Dreadguard at the fore, and the Dark Rangers behind, Sylvanas’ Spear is an unyielding bulwark to any foe who comes against it. They will not yield one more inch to the Lions who take their land.
After their victory against Aerie Peak at the Overlook, the Revantusk swore their axes and spears to the Blackheart, ever friends of the Horde. Now, in the Horde’s hour of need, the Revantusk have come.
Savage, brutal, unpredictable; woe to any enemy who faces down a horde of Revani screamers.
Seventh Chapter of the Duskwatch; Suramar’s Aid
The Seventh Chapter of Suramar, formed even before the rebellion, has always stood for Suramar first. When it became clear Elisande was no friend of her people, the Seventh Chapter marched against her and the Legion’s tyranny to aid the liberation of their home.
Ever grateful to the Sin’dorei who carried the Suramar Offensive in honor and strength, while the Kaldorei and Quel’dorei had little interest - the Seventh have come to Alterac to aid the Blackheart Warband after the Warlord’s summons.
The Seventh Chapter Sentinels and Spellblades are skilled and deadly. Likely the strongest company of the four, the Seventh’s elven war tactics, and arcane dominance will overwhelm most foes who come forth.
