Finished Model

This is the completed model that i’ll be using in our collective stop-motion video. A few things are different from the original design. The colour of the skin has changed as the colour I planned to use, was  used up so I compromised with a much lighter skin tone. After applying the skin layer I decided I was going to sew the outfit out of material from clothes. I made the black shirt and trousers as planned first but then decided i would made a check flannel to go over the top, which helped improve the overall colour of the model. It was very difficult to get it onto the model however as the hands were much bigger than I had planned. Due to this the quality of the sleeves on the model are not great as I had to sew them directly onto the model, while it was wearing the base of the shirt. 

When designing the model I chose to make the shoes rather large and heavy. This is to make them easier to create as well as weigh down the model so that it can stand and be animated easier. I used black thin material so that I could hide the pins between the the folds of the boots when animating the model walking. I used cardboard to reinforce the boots create the general shape, while leaving space for the pin to go through. Unfortunately the boots are not as heavy as i would have wanted despite stuffing them, and its difficult for the model to find its balance. Overall however i feel this was a good attempt at making a model and emulating Krooked Glasses’s style. Next time I would improve the overall quality of the details in the clothing as well as work more on the facial details and expressions.
