Greetings, Thanks for stopping by my page! I tend to get Advanced Readers Copy from NetGalley as I am a Librarian, and so here are some brief blurbs on books that I enjoyed reading and some that you might like too. I Read a lot of what catches my eye, generally Fantasy, Sci-Fi, some Mystery and a little of this and that. This post in general will be about books I liked and not ones that I didn't. Everyone needs some positivity in their lives and that's what I want this to be about - the positive and enjoyable books that I have read. I also post some of these on Twitter under Nemo56234.
The Beast Hunters by Christopher Lende, an enjoyable read. Fantastical and mythical creatures some benign and most not are out in the world and ready to interact with Humanity, only beast hunters are looking for them though.
Thrift Store Trolls by Shawntelle Madison, an enjoyable read. A werewolf who works in a thrift store, when weird things start to happen around town aimed at her!
The Emperor's Wolves by Michelle Sagara, if you are a fan of her Cast series, you will love this look into how Severn got his start. I highly recommend it if you like Sagara!
Kitty's Mix-Tape by Carrie Vaughn, another solid book in the series! Kitty is going to school again, well a school reunion and what she finds there is not what she expected...
Casting Shadows by L. R. Braden, the next one in the series. Alex goes after the missing children, and where it takes her are places she never expected to go.
The Reckoning by John Grisham. Grisham has done it again by writing a great story, leading you by the nose right till the end before he puts in his twist. An insightful story into that time and history and as always leads you thinking - What if the truth had just been told from the beginning.
To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini, This is a BIG book. Its nice to read something from the pen of Paolini again, and its a big leap from his fantasy to this sci-fi book but he pulls it off. Kira finds an ancient relic of power that changes her life ... by taking it over.
Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik, a fantastic retelling of a fairy tale into a story for adults. Novik continues to draw you into her world with believable problems and relatable people. Can't wait for more from her pen.
More Than A Game by Andrey Vasilyev. Its a fantasy fiction LitRPG that pulls you in and refuses to let you go. Imagine if Runescape got a huge upgrade and also became a virtual reality immersive game. Can't wait for sequels.
Spellbreaker by Blake Charlton, A great ending for the trilogy, went in an entirely different direction than I was expecting and I loved the way it got pulled together.
The Fixer: The Last Romanov by Jill Amy Rosenblatt
The Fixer: The Last Romanov by Jill Amy Rosenblatt, a good third novel. Katerina is in way over her head, barely keeping ahead of all the various and sundry people around her. What can she do to stay ahead?
The Fixer: The Killing Kind by Jill Amy Rosenblatt
The Fixer: The Killing Kind by Jill Amy Rosenblatt, the story continues. Katerina is still working as a fixer and the jobs keep coming, she is being pulled in so many directions and the danger keeps piling up...
The Fixer: The Naked Man by Jill Amy Rosenblatt, a quick novella. Katerina is starting a new job as a fixer, but more and more she finds herself under water...
Knight of the Silver Circle by Duncan Hamilton, almost as good as the first. This second book in the series delivers a solid book, that only barely suffers from being the second book. If you enjoyed the first and were tantalized by the ending don't miss out on this book.
Purrfect Magic by Samantha Coville, an easy enjoyable read. The perfect daughter that everyone knows is going to magic college and discovers that she is not perfect...
