Cora sighed, wondering to herself why she decided to ask Nemo. She was desperate for someone to be honest with her and hoped he would be. “No that doesn’t help much. But it is good to know.” She felt almost relieved once his face reveled a smile. “Are you sure? Even in this dumb human form?”

Though it was tempting to make light of the situation, seriousness never having much of Nemo’s forte, he forced the seriousness to remain. “I promise.” His words held a genuine air to them, a small smile dancing across his features as he reached out, both hands settling on her shoulders without hesitiation. “Even in ‘dumb’ human form.”

The light tug on her arm from the inevitable stumble had forced Jubilee to turn her head and shielding the expression that she held from him. Silent laughter leaving her lips, no matter how much he had complained, it had been much too humorous to her. “Do you want me to let go?” She taunted slightly, letting her fingers loosen in the grip that they had held on him and at the same moment, she slowed down. Only wanting to tease and not send him tumbling towards the dirt. “Every time that I listen to you, I often get paint or just about anything you can put your hands on, on my face.” Despite the words of complaint, Jubilee hadn’t found much issue on the time spent in Nemo’s presence, even if she often came out looking like she’d been dragged backwards through many bushes. Never quite coming out like she had been traumatized – often feeling lighter and happier after their time together. “You’ll find out soon – and not quite, but how about I buy you pizza when we get back instead?”

Nemo’s lack of stability had caused a profound amount of colorful choice words to pass his lips, many of which were directed towards his uncooperative feet. It was only once he’d managed to keep himself upright for several seconds due to lack of movement, that he once more turned his attention to Jubilee, his grip tightening around her hand without much thought. “It’s not funny.” Despite his complaint, he found himself unable to suppress the grin that returned. “No – If i go down, I’m taking you with me.” His grip remained the same as he spoke, unwilling to release her, unwilling to risk any form movement on the unpredictable ground without her guidance. Even though her next words were filled with truth, he found himself releasing a small sounding laughter, shrugging instantly in retaliation. “I can’t help it  – you look better covered in paint.” The memory of such a situation had caused his grin to widen, orange iris’ dancing with amusement as he watched her. It was impossible not to enjoy Jubilee’s company, to lose one’s self in the easiness of her presence, and how infectious both her smile and laughter proved to be. “If I’ve walked for nothing  – this friendship is over.” His threat lacked authenticity, knowing even if he had been serious, it would not have been something he’d have followed through with, nor been able to even if he’d attempted to do so. “You have yourself a deal, but it better be as big as my head.”

“Oh, sorry.” Zephyr chuckled before releasing the boy and wiping his hand on his sweatshirt. “No deal. You said you wanted to do what I was going to do, so that’s what we’re doing walking.” He grinned. “What if I tell you we’re going to the pool, hm? Fish like swimming, right?”

Nemo wasted no time rubbing his palm against the front of his jeanon it's release, attempting to rid himself of the sweat that had begun to build throughout the process of walking. "You could have told me that first." He whined, feature's scrunching as he spoke, barely managing to stay upright even the levelest of ground. The words 'swimming pool' had been what caused his orange iris' to remove themselves from his feet, eyebrow quirked in Zephyr's direction. "Of course – it just depends whether my feet kill me before we get there.”

Logan was extremely relieved that Nemo no longer seemed angry, he was sure that he would be. However, his friend’s bright smile was a nice surprise and encouraged Logan himself to smile along with him.  “But then we wouldn’t be friends.” He pouted, closing the door shut as the boy entered to keep the heat in. Logan plopped down onto the couch and rested his feet up as he watched the boy remove himself of his outer layers. “How many pieces of clothes were you wearing? And how were you still cold under all of that?” He asked, his eyebrows knitted together as he observed the clothing now scattered about his floor. He really didn’t mind the mess, his room often had clothes like this all over the place, he was just rather surprised by how much there was. “Alright, I’ll go pour yours then. Water should still be hot.” He said, getting up and heading into the kitchen, returning a minute or two later with a steaming cup of hot chocolate, complete with two mini marshmallows floating at the surface. “Is that a good thing?” He asked, picking up his own mug and taking another sip of it. “Hibernation? Are fish supposed to do that?” He never remembered learning anything about that, but what did he honestly know about fish?

For several seconds Nemo simply stared in Logan’s direction, grin dancing across his feature’s with ease, and even more so when the blonde spoke, pout bringing about a small sounding laughter in response. “Who said we were friends?” It was clear from his tone, the humor laced within his words, that it had simply been meant as teasing on his part. He was thankful for the other’s friendship, even if not as openly affectionate as both Logan and Isaac. He had grown fond of the blonde, who’s dorm he had taken to making himself at home in, bothered very little by where his scattered belongings had landed. “I wasn’t.” He admitted, a sheepish look present as he spoke. “If you thought I was freezing to death, you couldn’t not let me in.” At that, his grin widened hand’s rubbing together to provide warmth to the only part of his body that in fact still remained frozen, due to the thin material that had covered them. He had taken to dressing in numerous layers during what he had concluded as the worst season, or at least on the day’s he had no choice but to remove himself from the warmth of his bedding. The appearance of hot chocolate, which he wasted no time wrapping both hands tightly around the mug, had brought a new found happiness, allowing the heat to seep into his skin before allowing his orange iris’ to once more land on Logan. “No, but I want to hibernate as a human – someone should make that a rule.”

“The circus? Is that a life goal? I hope you make it in! A teleporting fish? Incredible! But you’re more then just an act as well, i hope. Do you dye your hair a lot? Does it symbolise anything? I’m be terrible at dying my hair, so it’s good one of us can do it! Well, i hope heat of the moment works well for you! I’ve always been terrible at being spontaneous. Maybe you could teach me how to do it.”

“Not really, I just think I’d be pretty cool to join the circus, don’t you? Until I got eaten by a lion or they decided to put me in a fish tank – then, we’d have a problem. I can teleport in this stupid form, I’ve never tried as a fish – maybe I should put that on my list of things to do, not that I ever get round to them. Is it supposed to symbolize something? I just like different colors. Maybe you should try it. You could always dye it blue, you’d look like you had the sea on your head. Where’s the fun in planning? It’s more fun when everything’s a surprise.”

“Man it seems that every time I come back here from a trip with my parents I run into a spiderweb. This is so gross. -Is there a spider on me or anything?”

“Maybe they have a thing for you — you know, they could just want to live in your hair.”

“Well it’s expected when I’ve been holding yours for about half an hour now, I can let go, but you might end up flat on your face if we hit another bump.” Jubilee had failed to hold the sternest of looks for more than a second, turning her head only to glance at him which had immediately lit up her features with a grin. His words only causing her to tighten her grip on Nemo’s hand. “And yes, they did. In fact, it was you two minutes ago – and then ten minutes before that, but we’re almost there. I promise that it’ll be worth it, so no dying on me just yet.”

The response to his words had caused an automatic eye roll in retaliation, half debating realizing his grip, before once more tripping ungracefully, bringing Nemo to cast aside such a thought. “My hands getting sticky.” His tone again held a tone that resembled a child, whining as he had throughout the majority their activity, which only increased with his lack of feet stability. “You should listen to me more often — like right now, about letting me lie down and die.” Despite his complaining, a smile proved fairly impossible to suppress, especially after witnessing the one that graced the female’s features. “Almost where?  Do I get pizza?”

“Any big plans or resolutions for 2016? Maybe i can help you with them, even!”

“I could always join the circus this year — you know, it’s not everyday you find a teleporting fish. Either that, or make the worlds biggest pizza. I might even redye my hair from mint to pink, who knows. I’m not one for making plans, I’m the heat of the moment kind of fish. I don’t even know what I’m doing tomorrow — probably sleeping.”

“My hands are sweaty because you won’t let go,” Bailey stated, “Yes, i’ve been told before, by um- by Isaac actually. But look, we’re almost there, and then free all you can eat cookies!!”

Bailey’s words were followed by a dramatic huff in response, grip loosely slightly, though not completely releasing his hold. “If it stop’s me breaking my neck, can you blame me?” Despite such words, Nemo found it fairly difficult to hold back a grin, mostly at the mention of Isaac and their similarities when something involved feet related activities. “See, It’s a fish thing. Are these cookie’s as big as my head? I could do with a head shaped cookie.”
