this is an independent, private & selective original character based in the world of netflix’s the old guard. alexander is influenced by scottish history and originates among the jacobite rising, so mention of death & of war will feature often. mun is 29 and character is 35+ so adult themes will be present. everything will be tagged accordingly. last, but not least, my name is west, i was born in germany and live in scotland. i’m also an essential worker ( carer ) so my activity is reliant on shift pattern and my own mental health, thus i’m labelling this blog low activity and heavily plot dependent.

as soon as alexander learns about andy not healing anymore he pours himself into research in the hopes that an answer can be found. he knows that he’s technically wasting his time, that there’s no rhyme or reason as to why immortals just stop healing, but it keeps him busy and distracted. the idea of losing andy is just too much.

alexander isn’t a big fan of nickames. he generally calls others by their proper name, though he has been known to use a nickname himself if it’s explicitly requested by the character. he means no harm by it, it’s generally an offset of being raised to respect the name and it’s meaning. in terms of his own name, 90% of the time it’s only alexander that’ll suffice. if you’re close friends with him, or on an intimate level, he may accept anything shorter than that. one name he won’t accept, however, is xander. he doesn’t like it. alex is perfectly acceptible, lex maybe lesser so but still useable, but a large percentage of the time it’s just alexander.
