Here’s a petition that goes beyond wanting Jared to win an award for his acting.

It is hard to convince a fandom like ours to choose the ‘best’ actor. We’ve been here, and we’ve lost polls and awards because of that. But today I’m not talking about choosing the best actor and I’m not talking about discussing which one is better.

As we all know, the Teen Choice Awards are some commercial awards made for teenagers to vote for their teen idols and get views and shit. Dumb shit. I couldn’t care less about this awards and I’m sure neither do you.

But today, we have the chance to vote for Jared. And today Jared needs us to let him know that we’re still here fighting for him and hoping for him and wishing him well. So maybe the awards are stupid and maybe voting is pointless and maybe they’ve chosen the winner already, and maybe you wanted Jensen or Misha to win or maybe you don’t feel like voting. And it’s okay. But let me ask you a favor, and let me tell you a thing.

Jared’s been through a lot lately. We know how much he loves us and how much of himself he gives to us, and that’s exactly what caused his ‘exhaustion’. We don’t know for sure what happened to him, but we do know that he had to leave his fans behind to be with his family. He was exhausted, and over that exhaustion there was probably some guilt over leaving us without further explanation. And then he came back, when we didn’t expect him to. Because I think he needs way more than 20 days to recover. But he was there, smiling for us, tweeting for us. Everyone who’s met him said he’s the nicest person ever. He made an entire campaign based on depression and mental illnesses and gave us so much love it’s unbelievable. And it’s time for us to give some of that love back.

So yes, the awards might be stupid, but they are the ones where we have control. We can VOTE. We can let Jared know that we’re here, that we got his back, that we’ll never leave him and that we hope he’s okay and that we’ll wait for as long as he needs and that beyond anything else we love him and will always support him. Maybe it is not important for some random actor, winning a TCA. But for someone who’s exhausted and drained and (probably) depressed, this IS important. We got him nominated and that’s a lot already. But we can do more. We can get him to win and we can get him to receive an award after all this struggle, an award given by PEOPLE who believe in him.

Maybe you wanted Misha to win, maybe you wanted Jensen to win, but Jared is the one that’s nominated, and if he ever made you smile, (or made your fave smile as a matter of fact), you could show him your love by voting for him. Vote once, vote twice, vote a hundred millions of times. But please be there. Show your support. Be present. It is so so so important for him to know that we’re here. As someone who loves him to death all I want in this world is to give him a tight hug and tell him it’s okay and we’ve got his back. And now we find ourselves with that chance in our hands, a vote of distance.

Jared deserves this because he believed in us. He asked for our help when he was at his worst and it was the most brave thing he could’ve done. He shared with us something that’s incredibly important. And we’ve got the chance to give that love back by voting for him and letting him know he’s worth it. And we’re here. And we’ll be here whenever he needs us.

Please vote. Take a second of your life to thank Jared for being the wonderful person he is. He needs to feel our love.
