I really don’t wanna take millions of screenshots, but just to quickly explain, the whole music video is based on parallels (obviously). But the thing is that none of it is the same, more mashed up (ex. them looking as if they’re all drugged so it’s all fcked up). In HYYH and Wings, they would portray their actions followed with a similar reaction from another member (their pairing) as if they feel the same emotions, but not this music video.
I believe Seokjin is the only one aware that there are different parallel universes that exist (his song being “Awake”).
The biggest scene that tied all this together was this:
This is some serious sci-fy shit going on idk BIGHIT. The only reason there would be a wormhole is because it leads to another dimension. Seokjin is the only one present, so he must be aware of all that is happening to them.
In the beginning, we see Namjoon offer Jungkook a drink. But what’s important is that motel sign behind them. (Yoongi was staying in the motel during INU)
Another strong factor is Jimin walking through a corridor that looks nearly identical to Seokjin’s in his “Awake” music video. This leads me to believe that Jimin was close to figuring out his true reality. When he’s opening the door, his other self that is with Yoongi makes a shocked face. Once the door is open, Jimin is flinged back to this other dimension and was not able to reach reality.
I’d also like to add that in their HYYH & Wings stories, it always confused me whether Jimin was important or not. Sometimes they would focus on him, but I couldn’t figure out why. I’m going to say it’s because he was the other person who was trying to figure out what was going on besides Seokjin.
And right after this happens, once again, we are shown cracked faces, the cracked ground, etc. I mentioned this a loooong time ago when INU was released. Shattered/broken glass or object is a metaphor for a shattered reality.
Seokjin being aware of everything going on, maybe that’s why he started beating up Tae. Maybe he wanted Tae to stab him so he could keep him from murdering his father in INU. Not to mention Seokjin tells Tae that he’s sorry while beating him up. He wanted to do it for his own good even if he couldn’t understand.
And after Tae stabs Seokjin, we see him climb to the roof and looking as if he’s about to jump just like in the Prologue.
If it weren’t about different dimensions, why bother adding I Need U at the very end. We see Seokjin hand over a lighter to Namjoon (his character is suppose to be a smoker. not really a lollipop, but a cigarette). But the thing is that Namjoon says, “Jin hyung?!” in a very shocked tone. Then followed by Seokjin saying, “It’s been awhile”. How long has it been since they seen each other?
