Thank you so much for making mc a normal person like actually and not making her relationship with the dreamies weird! (which is something i’ve noticed in idol fics with nct for some reason) it actually reminds me alot of the guy friends i have and it’s super realistic you know!

also i loge her being morally gray like i was kinda questioning her actions in the fic but that just makes her more human which i loved!

I don’t really know how mcs relationship with the guys is weird in other stories but I’m glad to hear that you liked how I portrayed it! I just really wanted the guys and mc to feel like a family, yk?

and about mc being morally grey, I just kept thinking how with everything that’s going on in her life from professional pressure and pains to hardbreak, it wouldn’t be realistic for to always act like an angel. if a character goes through tough times, it just doesn’t make sense to me to have them be perfect, like if you’re a little messed up you’re gonna act in a messed up way every once in a while, that’s only human, yk?

honesty i think when mc went to her managers wedding has to be favorite esp the confrontation with haechan and when she first walks in and sees the guys and how much they’ve matured i just feel like that added to her pain kinda you know, like life goes on and their life went on and im still stuck here you know? then her wondering if they think she changed ugh just hurt my heart you know

but the confrontation between haechan and mc when she calls him haechan instead of his real name kinda like she solidified where their relationship is at- she only saw him and everyone else the way everyone else saw them i feel like this was also kinda like bc tryna come to terms with everything to the best of her ability.

besides all the angst i love in part one where the whole first kiss fiasco happens it’s just so cute how mark comforts her (ive noticed it’s happened a couple times where mc will mention smth about not being pretty and mark will be like what are you talking about?!???!?)

i loved this fic so much

ahhh it’s so interesting that those scenes at the wedding are impactful to you as well!

ngl I was giggling writing that first kiss scene. they’re still such babies in that one, and it’s so cute how nervous mark is!

and I especially remember that scene where mc tells mark about the lady at the convenience store across from sm not mistaking her for a boy anymore and mark being like wth you’ve always been pretty, like??? how did you not know that???

I think out of all the scenes in us,nearly somehow mc‘s confrontation first with hyuck and then with mark at hyunseok‘s wedding, marks letter, and mark appearing at her shitty apartment and them talking while drinking are my favorite scenesall scenes from part 2 im realizing haha

for some reason, they are just very memorable to me and I still remember writing them most vividly. the holds special place in my heart
