nari’s reaction to the drawing brings a smile to celeste face, and for the first time since the other woman entered the shop, she breaks the stone cold facade. there’s something so gratifying about seeing emotions flood her client’s face when faced with the representation of the message they want to convey through a tattoo. “a magician never reveal their secret, and neither do i.” many more ideas, to complete the design, are swirling around in her brain. celeste is feeling particularly inspired by the other woman. there’s an enigma to be resolved in the other ― one she should have no interest in ― but she tells herself she’s only digging further, for the sake of her art, rather than something else. she isn’t fooling herself one bit. “this is what i wanted to hear.” the tattoo artist takes back the sketchbook, and does a little check mark next to it, as in approved, then writes down scale, blindfold, all little elements she wanted to add. “i NEVER do the same design twice,” she assures. it is said artists see the world from a different perspective, maybe this is where celeste talent lies: her artistic brain. she sees more than meets the eye, taking in every little details of the world that surrounds her, and translating them through mishmash of colors, lines and shapes that come together to form the clearest of picture. “another element of justice, that can be incorporated is the blindfold. i wouldn’t hide both eyes, however. only one, to keep the effect of being stared at while looking at the tattoo, that you want.” the picture is slowly coming together in her mind, and brings that much more excitement to the tattoo artist, shown in her smile that grows bigger. “how does it sound?” she looks up to nari, and raises an eyebrow. from the corner of her eye, she sees the coffee maker, and asks, “would you like some coffee, tea, water? we may be here, for a little.”
Magic was a light word to use to describe what was happening here. Nari rarely believed in things like love at first sight and destiny and maybe this wasn't love but she was completely entranced by the artist. She never let anyone in, anyone see her and yet without even trying this girl just read Nari down to her core. How was the hacker supposed to leave it at just one encounter? She needed more. Especially after hearing that this was the first of its kind, it wasn't a recycled idea. Celeste just looked at her and knew. Nari felt so exposed for the first time in her life and it was only supposed to be a simple meeting. It was unfair that Celeste could read her so easily and keep herself so guarded though. Nari didn't have the easiest time connecting to others and most of the time she didn't care to. But now she wanted to. Her eyes flickered between the hand scribbling on the pad of paper and the woman's features. She wanted to trace the outlines of her face with her fingertips, such a tender feeling and a rare one. This was a disaster in the making. "No, that's perfect actually. like to remind someone that they're always being watched. Not that a lot of people are going to see this tattoo in the first place. I usually wear pants. But I'm going to see it and that's enough for me," she rubbed her thigh where the tattoo would go, trying to ignore the fact that she was rambling. She looked at the pad of paper for a brief moment and the tattoo looks better than anything she could have imagined and she was excited about it more than she could explain. But it's the way Celeste is smiling when she asked the question, how wide is was growing that took all of her attention off of the art she had been looking forward to putting on her body for months. Would she be feeling the same way about Celeste? Thinking about her nonstop like all of her other little obsessions? "Beautiful," she sighed, and she's looking straight at the tattoo artist as she says it. Unashamed, but she needed to reign it in otherwise she was going to make this experience awkward. She leaned back against her seat with her hands folded on her lap, following her gaze to the coffee maker. "Coffee sounds good. I don't mind making it while you work though. I don't like sitting around anyways. How do you like yours?" She's already standing up before Celeste had the chance to protest, moving to the coffee maker. It was weird doing something like this in an unfamiliar place and normally she hated being out of her comfort zone but she was determined to learn about Celeste and this was her chance.
