things to remember about writing trans male characters

-dysphoria is a thing that exists

-100% of the time calling them ‘baby girl’ or ‘princess’ will make them want to knock you on your rear end

-testosterone can make them bald a bit

-after top surgery, they have to keep their arms glued to their chest for a while, so they can’t wipe. they also can’t share a bed

-when they go on testosterone, their clit grows a solid couple of inches. it is normal

-testosterone can make you hotter than a dog in heat, so yes, sex drive does go up

-top surgery can rage from 3000-10000 dollars depending on where you go

-bottom surgery is 50000+ dollars

-coming out is hard

-no one just automatically transitions from using their deadname to using their chosen name

-most trans people are always kinda angry about something or another (human rights, safety, other trans people getting murdered)

-trans people’s average life span is 30 because people like to murder us.

-i’ve experiences more sexual assault than verbal assault since coming out as trans, so keep that in mind

-binders cost 40 dollars

-you can pack with socks, or anything like that. no one shoves vegetables down their pants though

-passing is hard to do

-the only way to start transitioning for real is to get testosterone prescribed to you. no magic pill in the store. though i wish
