Staying at Claire’s house had been fun for a while, just staying in the couch and watching some show comparing orange and black, which really got him confused, however Castiel felt a new need to go out over again. His altercation with John had made him see everything differently. He needed to stop hiding, to prove he wasn’t desperate at the point of letting himself get killed. And it was exactly what he was doing in the coffee shop now, dressed with his new trench coat - for Lucifer had stolen his other one - and a simple new suit he had bought, for the other one was completely torn apart since his fight with Satan.
He didn’t even like the taste of coffee, it was too bitter for him, but however it felt like his vessel was used to it for it had no negative effect on his body. So Castiel just kept drinking coffee, even though it wasn’t tasting good, just for the sake of pretending to be human. And it was here, and at this moment when he saw the boy who was looking at him. He didn’t know why, but this face felt familiar, and he couldn’t put a name on his face. At the second his eyes turned golden, it struck him. Nephilim. He should’ve understood it, the simple sight of him had made him feel this kind of aura getting out of him. But while it felt good, there was also all of this bad coming out of him. Who was that now?
So he got closer to the table, putting his coffee down and installing himself in front of him. “You better hide these eyes before any less friendly angel sees it.” Castiel stated, as he moved his fingers up his sleeve to touch his blade. It was here, it was comforting. In case he needed protection from the other, he still had that. “Who are you?” The angel asked, as he stared at the young man in front of him. He couldn’t put a name on him. He couldn’t, and it was really frustrating. “Nephilims are all supposed to be dead.” Statement, and a flash of memory went through his mind. He had killed the last of them. The waitress. Jane. He had killed her, but before this moment, he had no memories of it. This city was really fucking him up.
HANDS GRIPPED tightly onto his ashy blond hair, tugging gently at the delicate strands. He could hear so many voices, screaming in his brain, too many to pin point what exactly they were saying, or even if they were talking to him; but every time he hears the voices, so follows the white, burning pain. The medication he was forced to take were supposed to stop it, they were supposed to make him normal, like all of the other kids his age, but nothing stopped this pain. Nothing stopped the voices, and certainly nothing stopped him from hurting anyone who tried to get close to him. He was a monster, but he didn’t want to be. It felt more like something coding his blood to make him bad. Yet, evil wasn’t something Jack felt within him.
Golden hues remained upon the stranger, teeth bared with the pain of the voices cascading across his mind, a white noise ringing into his ears. Eyes clenched tightly shut for a moment, trying to shut it down, trying to silence the voices, the pain; yet when they snapped back open, nothing changed, his eyes continued to glow. “Hide my...” Jack grunted casting his gaze to the window, something he’d seen before, the monster stared back at him, the burning golden eyes that weren’t his own. “I-I can’t stop it, I don’t know how.” He glanced back towards the stranger, head shaking with anger. “No! It’s not real, it’s all in my head... The doctors told me it’s not real... You aren’t real.” That strange word... ‘ Nephilim ’ it sounded so... right. He couldn’t place where he had heard it before, or why it rang so clearly in his mind.
For a brief moment, Jack thought he had things under control, he thought this brief moment of silence was the end of the pain. However, he wasn’t so lucky. Another sharp pain lashed against his mind, eyes glowing even brighter than before, his hands clenched instinctively and he rose from his seat. As he did, several of the tables and chairs scattered across the Coffee shop, one flew straight towards a window, shattering it upon impact. Hyperventilating, his eyes dimmed and returned to their usual dark hue. With a gulp, he looked around at the cafe, a tear falling from his eye, trickling gently down his cheek. “I... I don’t want this... I don’t want to hurt people...”
