this was the episode of having difficult conversations with your parents and while logan knows exactly what to say to keep kendall intimidated, caroline seems to be completely at odds with what shiv has thought of felt at any moment of her life. the class aspect caroline versus everyone else is an underrated detail of the relationship between her and the children and very telling of how emotionally disconnected she is from them. hilarious episode in many moments (the camera panning to logan watching the meeting from the other side of glass walls?), it got me wishing there was more about kendall and his children. but the small moment we got, with logan using iverson to make sure his food wasn't poisoned??? insane???? "i'm better than you" while trying to overcome your father; "some people just aren't meant to be mothers" followed by shiv declaring she wants to have a baby. ongoing theme is humiliation kink and how it comes across mostly for roman (with gerri, with mattson, even with logan as the thing itself and not sublimation), but also with shiv and tom (with no aftercare and shiv clearly gaslighting him after), how sexually weird shiv and roman are all the time. "are you a sicko?"/"are you queer?" etc
