thinking about how sun bleached flies by ethel cain is literally kendall’s song word for word
i don’t like when streaming sites exploit their shows with fan service to make more money out of it but i would totally k!ll for a prequel where we are shown logan’s beginnings on waystar/the kid’s childhoods and/or adolescences
just got a vaccine and now every time i try to lie on the arm i got it, i feel like that one scene where kendall presses roman's forehead wound into his own shoulder to reopen it. there's something there about the perversity of inflicting and enduring pain out of selfish desire and perceived care simultaneously but i can't quite grasp it
roman & shiv are so important to me like those are my siblings..... they aren't threats to each other in the sense that neither of them sees the other as direct competition in the family business (whereas they both see ken as competition, thus why there's more distance with him) so they are able to foster a particular closeness and friendship that we don't see in any other sibling dynamic.
they likely grew up spending a lot of time with each other, both because they are the two youngest and because ken (the golden child) got attention that they did not.
i think that this particularly manifests in the playfulness that exists between the two of them, i.e. the physical fighting at the hospital, their consistent banter, & the way that rome loves to annoy shiv.
there's an amount of tenderness in their relationship which shows in the way that they are more comfortable expressing affection for one another than with connor or kendall.
post-finale their relationship is clearly fractured. succession is obviously a tragedy, but i do have hope that they'd reconcile eventually. and i love that sarah and kieran support that idea too! <3
