The Prince of the Sea lay there at peace, the wind providing a calm serenity that eased him towards slumber far more easily, though he would still prefer the embrace of the ocean. Nevertheless, he had caught sight of the merfolk who awaited patiently for the presence of squirrels and had decided to give her company — without really asking, but he wasn’t doing much anyways.
He gave a sleepy nod towards her suggestion, though now that he was laying down, he wasn’t sure if he had the strength to get back up and advance towards the bench. Percy felt that not to far was a mile away. Instead of getting up he curled up on the grass, the blades gently brushing against his cheek.
”Did you just, uh..” he rubbed at his eye, then spoke more clearly. ”Come from the palace? Was dad there?”
For one whose occupation deserved the utmost attention to detail and quickest response, she'd been getting distracted at an unusually high rate.
