it's been a minute since i last made a bug girl, and i felt it was Time. i picked a beetle mostly because i wanted to see if i could make separately articulated wings & wing covers look nice, and it spiraled from there.

i'm not sure where the porcelain inspiration came from, but i think i've seen ceramic beetles with floral patterns before. the patterns are cut out from napkins, with some additional handpainted details.

i don't usually give my bug girls hair, but i recently thrifted a package of blonde curls and wanted to use them. i suppose having Traditional Doll Hair extends the joke of her being a porcelain doll.

Yknow I didnt know what went into a bloody mary until I came up with her? And ew?? Tomato juice? Worcestershire sauce? Tabasco sauce? Why so many sauces for a drink? It fascinates me but I think I'd hate it if I tasted it. I'm not sure I'd like to take a sip of something people dip shrimp in. Anyway there's my take on bloody maries, please enjoy my pretty lady, I had a lot of fun with her outfit and antennae, though her weirdly long mouth was Annoying to stylize!!

I keep seeing this picture and similar ones and it keeps giving me thoughts. Yeah I do agree with the message ! And these animals are hated by many peoole !! But let's be honest. These are still fairly conventionally cute. They're big eyed fluffy affectionate pretty intelligent mammals and birds. So today, I'm offering y'all my own version.

BE NICE TO ALL ANIMALS. INCLUDING THE ONES WHO DON'T LIKE BEING PET. INCLUDING THE ONES THAT AREN'T FLUFFY. INCLUDING THE ONES YOU FIND UGLY. Be nice to the weird ass critters too >:)
