Enoch’s speech about dying and being lonely just absolutely broke my heart. Joel is such an incredible actor — he somehow manages to say his lines without a ton of inflection or facial expression to sell his robotic nature, and yet still conveys such deep emotion. When he said “Philip J Coulson” exactly as he did all those years ago in the season 4 finale, that’s when I lost it. He’s truly been there for this team for so long, and so I’m glad he got a heroic death. I’m sad that FitzSimmons wasn’t there with him so he could’ve died with his family but I know that logistically that wasn’t possible cause saving the world and blah blah blah

Just his whole thing about how he never knew what it meant to be lonely until he made great friends, though, that hit a little close to home. Such amazing writing, and such amazing acting.

The fact that we saw the scene of Daisy waking up easily like 20 times and it never felt boring is a true testament to Elizabeth Henstridge, because the little things that made each one feel different — pacing, camera angles, cuts — are mainly the director’s choice to make so I’m just really impressed by her talent as always

can I just say though, usually when people are directing episodes of a show they’re in, they’re in it either right in the beginning or right at the end for a minimal amount of time. elizabeth henstridge is pulling FULL double duty here she has just as much screen time so far as she usually does
