okay but angel full on stuttering after husk yells at him for jumping in front of the train?? he’s so genuinely confused as to why he’s being yelled at

and it’s understandable, of course, husk never wants angel to die for him bc he doesn’t feel he’s worth it and fear can manifest as anger or aggression when a person is really worried/adrenaline is pumping but angel is just ??? so emotionally confused in the moment and it breaks my heart

the way husk tries to soften it by cracking a joke abt spanking him but angel is just so thrown off by being met with anger by husk specifically after something so terrifying just happened to them both

Btw as funny as the super random "I'll spank you" bit was, I geniuly think Husk was being subconsciously considerate of Angel there.

The alternative was "I'll beat your ass" or something similar- even if its an empty threat, Angel is still an survivor of DV (Among many many other things) and throwing shit like that can be very triggering- especially seeing how anxious he already was with the Vees there.

The fact that Angel didn't have any witty dirty answer to this tells me how truly serious this was for him.

(And how Husk was absolutely looking for a way to lighten up the tension by saying something so low hanging fruit for Angel to grab and make fun of, but it didn't land the way he hoped)
