Concept vs. Reality: Leia’s hairstyles
"And Marvel’s announcement was as awesome as promised— they are starting a new all-female Avengers book! Coming in May to coincide with their Secret Wars event, the A-Force will include She-Hulk, Dazzler (!), and Runaways' Nico Minoru (!!!!!!!), written by G. Willow Wilson and Angela: Asgard’s Assassin's Marguerite K. Bennett, with art by New Thor's Jorge Molina.
Wilson said that they’ve “purposefully assembled a team composed of very different characters–from disparate parts of the Marvel U, with very different power sets, identities and ideologies.” Bennett added that their heroines “embody the ideals of what we can each strive to be.” The women will be faced with problems like what they must sacrifice for success, and what being a hero is worth.
A-Force will also introduce a brand-new superhero called Singularity, who series editor Daniel Ketch says will “push the boundaries of diversity in comic books even further.” Perhaps… dare we wish… a trans woman superhero??”

Xbox One bundles all $50 off this holiday
How long can you go Microsoft? I feel like this is turning into an episode of ‘Let’s make a deal’. Microsoft is being very aggressive and consumers are the winners. All Xbox One bundles starting November 2nd are going to be $50 bucks cheaper. That means you can even get a white Xbone with Sunset Overdrive for 350, that’s a pretty damn good deal.
The Cursed Forest – A Creepy CryEngine Game!
I recently asked on Twitter for some followers to recommend some good indie horror games to try out, and one of the suggestions was The Cursed Forest, a horror game developed using CryEngine 3 and released back in January 2014. I’d actually heard of this game already, having seen it on a few indie gaming sites, but it looked really cool and, for whatever reason, I never bothered getting into it. So I finally give it a whirl.

Katabasis – Psychological Horror in the Russian Hills
Just a few days ago, I came across an interesting psychological horror in Indie DB called Katabasis, released back in 2012 as a senior thesis by a graphic designer. While the graphics were decent for a game essentially made by one man, what really drew my attention was the strange setting and interesting delivery.

Comic Review: Terminator: Enemy of My Enemy #6
Terminator: Enemy of My Enemy #6 is the final issue of this mini-series. Last time, Farrow and the T-800 teamed up to free Dr. Elise Fong. They had to fight through a whole lot of bad guys (and cheap Terminator imitations) to do it, but they got her out. However, the T-800 promised that once Dr. Fong was rescued, he would have to kill them both. I can’t say much about the plot without spoiling how the story ends, but I was disappointed in the ending. I did, however, enjoy the final showdown, and there’s a few panels of iconic imagery in there. The drawings continue to be just a bit off, especially in the faces of the women, and this time some of the text was almost too small to read. I know they’re whispering, but I shouldn’t have to zoom in to see the lettering. I’m curious to see if there might be a follow-up miniseries; there’s certainly room for one. Ultimately, I enjoyed Enemy of My Enemy for its women main characters, but the plot wasn’t always enough to pull me in.
If you want to get all six of the issues together, there’s a trade paperback coming out February 11, 2015.
