‘Papers, Please’ is boring. It’s a mundane, drab, and lifeless game. It’s an exercise in repetition. Day in, day out. Being forced to pay more attention to–to fucking nothing. Why am I playing this? You’re not looking ahead, stamping passports with the thousand-yard-stare. You’re punching in some measly pay scraps into an excel sheet that basically represents your sick dying hungry family. Nights are getting colder, immigrants are getting restless, the jobs gets worse, we lose people. Any joy to be had in earlier years has evaporated that leaves behind a dry, powdery residue that does nothing but leave a permanent stain. What a shitty war. Now I gotta chose between buying my wife medication or moving everyone with pneumonia into a slightly larger hole in the wall with basic heating. I’m getting so sick of these miserable immigrants. ‘Glory to Arastotzka’ my ass. Now there’s even more bullshit to look for on their documents. I don’t care about your sob story, lady. This birth certificate’s suspicious and now we gotta detain you. God, being a border guard fucking sucks. I can’t believe someone died yesterday and we still have to go to work. He got out before Phillip, so he proceeded to GET PHILLIP OUT OF PRISON

He wanted to give Phillip a glamourous life, so he got a big-name job, and then started embezzling funds

he was arrested and then broke out TWICE MORE and kept busting out

then he was arrested again, and the above happened

while he was on the run from this, he was determined to get Phillip (who was in trouble for harboring him) out of prison so he pretended to be a lawyer and hit up Phillip’s jail 24/7. He tried to get Phillip moved to a prison closer to where he was hiding so he couLD VISIT HIM

AND THEN he made a fake identity and tried to get a 75k loan, and was arrested AGAIN, but he FAKED A HEART ATTACK AND LEFT BEFORE HE WAS EVEN PLACED IN PRISON AGAIN
