This is true for every single slightly popular sport, and gymnastics is one of the sports this applies less to. And there are hundreds if not thousands of people more popular than any gymnast who are even less deserving of attention. That’s just the way the world works. Seems weird to pick on gymnasts specifically.

But it seems they do practice in shorts so I don’t know. This is a genuine question btw. “

I personally prefer competing in the normal competition leo style, where the legs are free.

This is so dumb. There is nothing wrong with letting a kid see someone with tight fitting clothing. Do you also keep them inside the house at all times in case someone with revealing clothes walks past outside?

“I am a level 9 gymnast who got Covid and then pneumonia one year ago. Even one year later, floor routines are incredibly difficult to do because my endurance sucks. The fact that Skinner can do a four pass routine with a Moors and Silivas without dying when she had Covid and pneumonia is incredible. Her form on the other hand isn’t the best, but still. I only have a three pass routine where my hardest pass is a front full and I’m literally crawling off the floor.”

Man, good on you for sticking it out and continuing to compete. I’m not really in your situation at all because I only recently got covid, but I’m a L7 gymnast currently trying to get back to doing strength. I can’t even do 5 minutes of basic exercise before I start getting chest pain. This thing sucks! And yeah, it’s insane that MyKayla managed to get back to olympic level endurance so fast after getting such a severe case. Good luck with your gymnastics and I hope your endurance keeps slowly improving!

Wow I just checked and I didn’t expect it to be that bad. The first part is from a very US perspective and factually incorrect. The fall from Jordan Chiles was not the reason they were no longer in contention for gold. It’s also grammatically incorrect.

It’s already in the code. It’s worth less than the straight leg variation though so most people don’t do it.
