He didn’t coerce anyone. The girls misunderstood his intentions, he explained that. He didn’t dissapear, he went to a monastery in France. You people are trying too hard to put words in his mouth and make an innocent misunderstanding seem damning. That video, while well-intentioned, is complete bullshit. The man in the video is misguided and I’m sorry for him because he has to miss out on the awesomeness of Alex Day.

I guess in the end haters are gonna hate, and Alex still has the support of the thousands of people who subscribe to his mailing list, watch his videos, and buy his book and music.

Geez, there are a lot of things I could say about this, but let me just stress one thing: Consent is not “an innocent misunderstanding”

Consent is serious and it should be clear. If the girls misunderstood his intentions then that means they didn’t give consent. Consent is explicit. Without consent, it is rape.

98% of rape allegations are true. He’s a shitty person. Even his ex-girlfriend has admitted that he was with seven women in the time they were together. The evidence is there- you just choose to blindly follow the word of someone proven to manipulate people.

I'm not 'blindly following' anything. I'm trusting the word of a good man. I don't care what he's done in the past, that's in the past. If you looked past your own prejudice and truly listened to his words you would understand that he did not rape anyone. The misunderstandings of a few fangirls does not a rape make. 

Justs because 98% of rape allegations are true does not automatically mean he raped someone. In the video he explains what happened. 

Alex Day is not a manipulator. He is a good person, and you have chosen to turn your back on him. Maybe if you stop seeing the world like it's about to punch you in the face, you'll understand that.
