Society, election polls and the paradox of profiteroles

"In Arrow’s constitution there’s no room for strong or weak desires, only for a ranking of outcomes. Maybe that’s the problem". An alternative system could be one "that allows people to register the strength of their feeling". It sounds like the system applied to choose the MVP or Le Ballon D'or. 

Let's play this game. While casting their poll, French people are asked to express their opinion on every candidate. Imagine someone saying "Listen, I have a mild preference for Macron over Hamon, but I loath Le Pen and i despise Mélenchon". The person counting the ballots would then mark down three points por Macron, two for Hamon, zero for both Le Pen and Mélenchon (and one for poor embattled Fillon and all the other candidates who are not mentioned). 

Who do you think is going to win? The lesser of two evils, the most polarizing candidate (who would end up acting like a dictator) or the Most Valuable Player?
