Hi, I saw no one doing this, got bored, and so I'm doing Fear & Hunger Matchups. I find it viscerally satisfying to analyse and put the pieces together, like a psychology puzzle, assessing people's personalities into my favourite media is an idea I can really sink my teeth into.
Queue: 15
Status: CLOSED
If you don't specify, I am going to assume you are bisexual and assign you both a female & male partner.
I'll try to priortise compatibility overall, so you might get characters only from 1 or 2, depending on your matchup.
The more detail you give the more you get. You have to give me something to work with if I'm going to give a substantial answer. Don't be afraid to go in detail about yourself.
18+, no minors allowed. Fear & Hunger is a game with heavy themes and it is not appropriate for an adult to be 'shipping' underage people in a romantic context. You wouldn't want someone to intentionally overstep your boundaries, please don't overstep mine. Must include your age in bio (if you're using your account) or description (if anonymous)
Mediocre media has always been such a bane to my existence. A story with an amazing concept but poorly executed is like, the anticipation for the next instalment, left in a perpetual purgatory for all eternity.
The Painter from Urbanspook. What do you mean the Red Man did it? Mona has no urgency as a character and her place in the narrative is like she never even existed, and we were duped into believing in a story that was never real.
What do you mean, Bandersnatch was only good for like, the first 15 minutes?? It was like euphoric liquid herorin embodied in a concept. A mix of Stranger Things (before that went to shit, too), The Matrix and LSD Dream Simulator. Video game sci-fi nerds in the 80s, with a shit-ton of LSD trying to understand this reality bending magic system?
I wish I could tell you what happened because I genuinely can't remember. Except the opinion felt afterwards that the starting intro hype leading up to the choose-your-own-adventure was probably the best part.
Hey, hai! Wanted to try doing this for fun cause your blog looks cool and I don't see this type of thing much :>
For soul type, I'm an Amoral Soul
Personality: I tend to act pretty blunt and confrontational about almost anything, despite being a REALLY heavy overthinker. I also cannot for the life of me keep a straight face, there's always gotta be a reaction, to the point where I'm scolded because I may 'develop wrinkles faster'. I have difficulty making friends with people and talking to them, so I only have a tightly knit group I'm scared to let go off. I get intense hyperfixiations on fandoms that don't let go for a week at best. I am also asexual and demiromantic cause I don't just let people into my life so easily, but I like physical affection from those I love. I have paranoia about lots of things, mainly people, and tend to think of the worst, I usually overcompensate with items like having a hammer in my school bag just in case or by looking around everywhere before I enter, yet sometimes I just don't care and do whatever.
Appearance: I'm really fkin short dude, like 4'10 feet in height. On the skinnier side, too, flat as a board. I'm Filipino. My best feature is prolly my eyes cause I've been told how expressive they are. Weirdly, I've also been complimented by friends by how soft and pretty my hands are.
Hobbies: I mainly like immersing myself in whatever fandom tickles my fancy. I like to draw and create lore for original characters as well. I also got quite the passion for fashion, I've always loved dressing up and matching clothes, though I'm not one for sewing or makeup. I like playing games with lots of customisation, like fashion or simulation games.
Random stuff: Am pretty good at sensing when someone is looking at me or when someone is pointing a camera at me. I'm accident prone, but have surprisingly good reflexes. I'm procrastinate a lot too, lol. I surprisingly cry pretty easily. I'm into medicine, first aid, and debating. I'm temperamental, but I tend to move on quickly. And I fkin HATE bugs, especially crawly stuff like worms and maggots.
That's all, I think. It was nice writing this :)
Hi! I don't want anyone getting too excited about this post. I've been struggling with writers block and trying to find ways to combat it. The following post is just a draft and not the complete request, in an effort to egg-on my ADHD brain to get a move on. I'll either start posting more drafts or try to edit this one to completion.
Your first match is with Darce. The knight has a preference for pretty men, believing Le'garde is the prophesied one, '' and ''. Long-haired and beautiful. His feminine features drawing him a closer resemblance to deities like Nilvan, a comparison Darce makes just moments later. Your delicate hands and expressive eyes give you a similar ethereal presence.
Whereas Le'garde rises above the status quo as a martyr, Darce is really lonely. Feeling tethered by the same expectations. Making Le'garde something unattainable, he becomes a stagnant idol, creating obsession instead of love. As long as Darce sets on her path to pave a pedestal for her idol, overcoming her turmoil becomes she something of a figmant, she will never stop being lonely. Never allowed to pursue any study that deviates from the path set out by her family. No dress up, a soldier must only be masculine.
Your destiny of the amoral soul is intertwined with not what you are but how you're perceived. Fandom is substituted with theatre, you find yourself as a performer, getting by with your knack with stories. She thinks it must be incredible. The role passed on to you is a costume that's ever-changing. You get to be a part of something untouchable. But you open up to her that it's not all it's cracked up to be. Femininity is not just an expression but as a mediaeval performer but an expectation. Once the curtains are drawn, life's realities continue, to poverty and being shunned by society for not fitting in its box. Much like the Dark Priests, needed for their connection to the gods but cast aside, the effeminate Enki. Or soldiers, exposed to the horrors of war but discarded once they're no longer useful.. Just like when Darce was either bribed or cast out from her family.
The role passed on to you is a costume that's ever-changing. You get to be a part of something untouchable. But you open up to her that it's not all it's cracked up to be. Just like when Darce was either bribed or cast out from her family.
Just like with the dialogue if Darce has to amputate one of Le'garde's limbs, she reassures him that it doesnt make Le'garde any less of a man. Behind the soldier, Darce wants to be seen for who she is. And behind the stage, she sees you for the man that you are. She understands the need to always be on guard, much like how you always carry your hammer, if the player encounters her in the gardens she makes an intentional effort to never turn her back on the player. If you ever got to patch up her wounds she would feel so loved!
Like how a lot of modern upper middle class women gravitate towards medicine, she's endlessly curious. Being both nurtured and respected as a soldier, she has a man that has her back, protects her, while she does unto you in turn. and for her intelligence without being passed off as just a brute.
Levi - Your paths collide through the destiny intertwined with your soul type. Back in WW2, the fandom culture was limited to comic books and baseball. Better yet, you get to be a part of it with your ragtag group of friends.
You grew up a Filipino immigrant during ww2 in the Vatican (funger equivalent of Italy), a time and place known for its extreme racism. When some charismatic men in suits start pushing you as a child to do small favours, like delivering packages, you just thought you were helping your people thrive but it turns out you were just lining the same people's pockets. Favours become a debt, legs entrenched in the mud too deep to crawl out.
Now, you're here in the city. There's an unspoken understanding between you and the boy in military overalls. What he's running away from is what you're currently stuck in. He sees it in your face, the way you carry yourself.
Like how Levi looks yearningly at the piano, he sees you the abandoned clothing store
When Levi spits on Caligula's shoe, you see your opportunity. And just like that, your arm is mint. You raise your hammer and crack his head in before Caligula could lower his pipe into your crush's skull. Before Levi's instincts can cave in his feelings, you grab his hand and you run.
Learning about his body When seeing an actual bug he can handle it just fine, nothing he's not unused to infantry
The comfort of aesthetic, snazzy leather jacket, doesn't think very highly of himself, has been raised to treat his body as disposable, a tool of war, dissociate from it. coukd relate to characters like . princy , that someone like him could be considered beautiful,
on one end with his masculinity, aprotevtor, spitting on Caliguas shoe
A good coping mechanism when afraid of something is to learn more about it. Pharmocology, the science of drugs, helps Levi rationalise what is happening in his body instead of dissociating from it. Neuroscience helps him understand his internal world and how he can express that with his own urgency, for example music triggers different pathways in the brain that even Alzheimer's patients can
like with your surface emotions, his internal feelings bubble up his actions , hold up the persona
I would be totally down to do a Creepypasta DnD campaign. We can use our self-insert or 'cringe' OCs with no shame or judgement. We can design our rooms in the slender mansion. We can go on missions together, solve mysteries, hunt cryptids. I would already be doing this if only I could find enough people as hyped about the idea as I am.
I want to read about First Nation people to learn more about my partner's culture, it's like $30 dollars for each book in the whole section. I want to experiment with my theology and look into alternative spirituality that's more than just the cookie-cutter wishy-washy, only for every book on even just an intermediate level of witchcraft to be something ludicrous, like $50 dollars a pop.
If the goal is to preserve these communities or spread your faith, it feels disingenuous to have such exorbitant pricing that marginalised communities are being gatekeeped from their own culture or access to yours.
I need to push myself out of my comfort zone to seek out real life cultural demonstrations by Aboriginal elders, preservative sites and museums. I need to go to tarot card readings and actually talk to people.

Your first match is with O'ssa. Your commitment to art reminds me of a monk. Before the trend was aged out and replaced with modern custom, people would reside themselves in a monastery to dedicate themselves to their chosen study. Whether that be the sciences, law, in his case; magic, and in yours; the arts.
O'ssa might scoff initially, his criticism rooted in his distain for the Western All-mer culture he'd assume your work would assign itself to - prestige and reward. But your passion challenges this assumption, he recognises in himself, your lifestyle more aligned with his own principals. The conversation trails to silence as it so often does between the banter that allows you to get closer to him. Nash'rah appreciates the gumption you have in being able to take a joke because it means you actually have a backbone. But the teasing and words unsaid have now left an implication that leaves a sour taste in his mouth.
In the confessional booth, things left to stew bubble to the surface. The high standards you put on yourself, you think maybe sloth? Your art is naturally recreational, it's not put under the same scrutiny as the other daily stresses of life might find their way with you. O'ssa works to reframe this. Perhaps the sin of pride? You are too harsh on yourself. There is no sin in doing what truly makes you happy. Your dedication should not be ridiculed. Like religion, your art shouldn't need to conform to any standard to be 'real art'.
Leaving the confessional, the aftermath resumes like in-game. Nash'rah is interjecting this moment to let O'ssa know how much of a sook he is. Without saying a word you two are able to understand each other, you feel your bond grow stronger.
Your second match is with Abella. Attracted to all things adventure and mystery, she loves your look! The piercings and sleeve tattoo attract her to you like a moth to a flame.
She feels especially protective over you, concerning your hair and height. It gives her a melancholic nostalgia of having to grow up quickly, Abella having often been on the receiving end of unwanted attention, like with Henyrk's catcalling.
Abella has the grit to take the teasing and appreciates the strength in others. You two are on the same wavelength more often than not, wanting a life focused on your craft and cultivating or maintaining relationships with the people you care about. She wants to uplift you and feels protected when you do the same.
I’m 20, cis male, straight, and would prefer a female match. I’m an INTJ, so I tend to be reserved and keep to myself. I’m not the type to speak up a lot, especially in large groups. When I do speak, I can struggle to get my words out, especially if it’s something important or personal. I’ll often find myself stumbling or trailing off mid-sentence if I’m unsure of how to express myself. It’s not that I’m nervous; I just tend to be more introspective and sometimes get caught up in my own head.
I’m more of a listener than a talker. I don’t tend to offer advice unless it’s asked for, but I’ll always be there for people who need someone to lean on, even if I don’t always have the perfect thing to say. I’m calm and fairly mellow, and I tend to take a more passive approach to things. I don’t rush into situations, especially emotional ones, and prefer things to develop naturally over time.
I can be a bit emotionally distant at first, but once I start to trust someone, I’m there for them in my own quiet way. I don’t do well with high-energy, dramatic situations; I prefer steady, gradual connections. I value loyalty and consistency, and I don’t mind earning someone’s trust over time, especially if they’re someone who doesn’t open up easily. I understand that things take time, and I’m patient about it.
I’m open to either Fear & Hunger game, and I don’t mind darker or more intense dynamics, as long as they’re handled thoughtfully.
Thanks for considering my request. I’m curious to see who you think would be a good match for me
By the way you come across to people and seem to approach relationships, I believe that Marina and Olivia would be your matches.
Both have an attraction to stoic types, like we see with Levi, both of these characters have internal monologues (that you can see if you play as O'ssa) showing intrigue and attraction. Marina finds him mysterious and wants to learn more. And in the demo, Olivia thinks to herself on how she has a crush on him for the same reasons.
Marina prefers to speak with actions rather than words. Your timid nature and the assertive approach to relationships has a stark contrast that highlights your character. She really appreciates the patience and understanding you have when she needs her distance to mull things over. Not afraid to initiate of her own accord she tries to meet you halfway, encouraging and reassuring, to help coax you to say what you need to feel when you're ready to open up.
Olivia gets embarrassed when she gets trailed off talking about her love of botany. But your own habits and reassurance makes her feel more comfortable on even territory. She likes to ask you what you're thinking about and it helps detangle the nerves when thoughts get too bottled up, that the way you think and feel can be so intriguing to someone else. Vice versa, you love to listen about her encyclopaedic knowledge about botany. She can feel the tension ease, like a hole in a bucket, to the flow of conversation.
Tldr; Marina & Olivia, but overall I think Marina is your best match
heyaurrr pooks hope ur doing well 🌸 could you do a matchup with me please C: (no pressure ofc!)
I'm 19 yr old fem (she/her), straight, ENFP, Gemini. I'm 5'7, brown skin, dark brown eyes, curly black hair, on the chubbier side.
I've been told I'm pretty extroverted & that my energy needs to get toned down at times 😅. I'm open to meeting new people + it hasn't rlly been a problem for me so far. those who are close to me say that I tend to attract red flags? ppl who have bad intentions. I only rlly get quiet when I'm comfy with that person and can jus be in their presence. I LOVEEEE art its been an interest of mine when I ws younger, and I've been pursuing the form. I've enrolled into an art school and am currently working to get a job as an animator (YAY!). My love language is physical affection! I tend to lean towards ppl who r touchy? idk the word for it lol. My favorite food contains savory or meaty foods, but a heavy exception is sushi. I wear makeup no matter where I'm going. I'm only comfortable with taking it off infront of ppl I know. I've had a pretty bad time choosing who to love so I'm pretty stand off-ish when it comes to romantic relationships.
sorry this is pretty messy :C I hope theres enough here to do a matchup. I hope your having a great day 🩷 thank you in advance 🫶
Tanaka thrives on your energy, your countenance has him mull over his own. Carrying yourselves with the same toll of overwork, that a salaryman and a animator respectively are subjected to. But whereas for him, the job, in of itself, is all business, for you, there's the feverous energy blood letting from your life's work. Tanaka has been sheltered his whole life from the real world to be raised as the perfect director of his family's company. Your free spirit sparks the flint to his latent soul, he greatly admires your passion towards a self-actualised goal, as he toils away to one day reap the rewards, of when he finally comes into his own.
During the 1920s, the boom of animation with Disney, had employees overworked on low salary to draw episodes frame by frame, much like the modern exploitation that's too common today. An industry that raised you on their cartoons that you then became apart of. Hard deadlines and late nights combined with travel jet lag. Visions can be passed off as nightmares. Same time and place, just like Tanaka, wherever you're supposed to go you need to be there now. When it comes to touching base to understand the situation, he heavily values your feedback especially. And just like with red flags, coupled with Tanaka's terrible RNG you two are bound to run into one another and stick to each other like glue; barely surviving by the scrap of your teeth. Your massive expanse of energy is like a turn signal for when Tanaka is too amicable for his own good, when so naively walking past the danger signs, easily getting beheaded by the woodsman.
He knows the world is full of danger and he struggles to see what's right in front of him, all the while he senses the danger in untrustworthy people that try to get closer to you. It pushes him to step up out of his comfort zone, if it means he's going to protect you. In the little things, too, a lack of exposure to the real world. The fact that you like almost everything except Japanese cuisine means he gets to have new experiences with you. Japan's culture in self-sufficiency, he earns his bread, cleans and cooks after himself. He should be able to, by extension, be able to take care of you just as well. He's always cooking your favourite meals, it makes him feel fulfilled that he can provide for you.
To Paav, your appearance is both nostalgic and completely foreign to his own, the light of innocence in your dark eyes enhanced by your dark features, compared against the snuffed spark to his pale skin and blond hair. Your loyalty, burning bright for the people you care about while everyone he fights for is just a memory. So recognisable and unattainable it gives you an almost ethereal impression. He loves to take advantage of your high energy to tease you, with often cuddle sessions turn into play wresting and tickle fights.
Paav doesn't have a high opinion of himself. He knows the impression he gives off, as its an intentionally rude and jaded thick veneer he's built over decades. He knows what other men are like, that most of times there is no shell at all and replace the hollow with depravity. The fact that you don't know he's a bad guy, despite himself, is concerning. A little dollface like you shouldn't be off to the city, with sordid characters running around. Why don't you run along to wait this off in the train? Make some friends with the other helpless sacks? Although, seeing you I'm sure there's someone around waiting to sink their teeth in. Warning you about the other contestants to stay away from, its meant to scare you away from him, as much as it is a genuine precaution.
Tdlr; Tanaka & Paav, but overall I think that Tanaka is your best match. Special mention, if you liked girls, I would have had Karin as your best match.
Hii dunno if you're still doing these but thought I might as well. Hope you're okay and looking after yourself!
I'm 20, INTP, gay leaning, he/him and a transmasc male. I'm 5'3ish, Lowkey scrawny/skinny, bleach blonde hair that's kinda short? (Jellyfish cut at this point since it's growing out a lil), blue eyes, I'm pale but kinda sickly looking. And my clothes are usually shit from the early 2000s, mainly cargo shorts and baggy tops/hoodies.
I guess to start off is that I'm not really that great socially lmao. I'm lowkey a little traumatised in general (CPTSD) so it's extremely hard for me to trust and get close at first, I'm also pretty autistic/mask quite a lot, so sometimes my way of trying to get close comes off as overly blunt or mean (light teasing = affection at first for me lol). I really appreciate honesty and someone equally as upfront, but someone awkward or hesitant is really cute too and makes me feel more comfortable not having to mask. I think a good quality about myself is having a good humour?? Usually absurdist, random/blunt = funny to me. And I guess I just like seeing other people happy, so once close I like to drop random presents/gifts a lot, I'm not good at handling overt praise so it's a 'shove in their hands and run off' kind of thing usually lmao. Once comfortable enough I'm not really a clinger or whatever, but I like being close, usually just doing my own thing in silence or randomly blurting out stuff. I'm not good with words but I really like skinship in general.
I'm a digital artist, studying theology at the moment. My main hobby is probably just staying inside, playing whatever video game I'm fixating on (usually some eastern European indie game lmao) and watching/reading things on WW1/2, less of a battle of a certain day knowledge and more on specific random soldiers, I especially love stupid little niche knowledge on things in history. I'm really prone to just blurting out things I find interesting or ranting about things that frustrate me. I also really like horror and films in general but usually less triple AAA ones, my favourites are pusher 2, band of brothers (not a movie but) and blue spring. Big fan of games/movies that are so bad they're good. Also, really into cars as well, especially into initial D. My favourite colour is usually red or green. I also have a small hobby/interest in cooking, I don't really like cooking for myself much but I love making meals for friends or close ones. My favourite animals are either Pallas cats or dogs. I'm a little stunted emotionally so I'm prone to making really stupid jokes at times/ kind of have a childish humour at times.
I guess a downside of me is that I'm prone to getting frustrated easily, but never really at people in general, just that it's annoying trying to articulate words when I have nonverbal days. I'm generally able to look after myself but I'll have days where I need to just sleep all day and hide under my covers. I'm generally kind of sick most of the time, I have a weak immune system + a brain condition. Another? Downside is that I'm prone to fronting a lot, I have a slight martyr complex where I'd rather help someone else than say how I feel, I generally have a extremely low opinion on myself but not one to constantly say it.
Sorry if this was too long! First time doing this, but I hope it's okay. Have a good day. :)
No problem anon, you did great! Continuing the trend of one matchup until I've caught up to all my requests. Scroll down to the bottom of the post if you want to know the second matchup.
Cahara is your first match. Even if his coping mechanisms and his problem-solving can be destructive, he's quite emotionally intelligent, capable of talking openly about his perspective and emphasising with others. Even if you struggle with verbalising how you feel, he's able to pick up intuitively where you're coming from.
Naturally bouncing off of the energy displayed by others, if Cahara is confronted with his thievery, he attacks the player. When interacting with the girl he becomes fatherly. Coming from the same place of needing distance, your relationship is moulded by the ability to lean on each other, instead of asking to be carried.
That's why in Cahara's B ending having a phobia of the dark is so life destroying. With no safe retreat to mend his wounds he's only able to find relief through his worst coping mechanisms, destroying his ability to heal. Logically, having lived in poverty his whole life he knows how to work with limited resources, having fun shouldn't be so hard. But being stuck in survival mode for so long has made his self-destructive habits synonymous with the thrills.
Whereas you are the exact opposite, a homebody that uses art to experience the world. In your youth, you gravitated towards individual stories of people overcoming the hardships that the world had set against them; war hero's, saints and underdogs. Joan of arc figures like Darce inspire you. But as you grew older, being taught what 'art is' under the rigid All-mer education, felt like working towards an end goal to when you can be happy again. Art is what the gods decide rather than the people that make it and god cannot be questioned. An absolute at the end of every story, but prevents the questioning that causes different stories to be told. The Tormented One was supposed to be how you reconnected with art, but instead he was an idol for self-flagellation. But when the world isnt built for you, its easy to gaslight yourself into that maybe its your fault and you should try a little harder.
When you enter the Tormented Chambers you were expecting to find the new age of art. But all you found was an endless pit of despair. When you stare into that deep pit of despair, there's nothing. You feel disconnected from the people you felt inspired by and events attached to them, you cant feel anything and thats terrifying. You cant picture the world, just that endless pit over the edge with your mind spiralling as if you'd drop to the bottom to stop falling.
Cahara is the one to pull you out of your low-mind event. Art isn't defined by the gods but the people that make it. His past and the world do not define him, what makes a story is how the characters react to it. Like you told him, how a street rat or a criminal could be the hero, that gave him something other than his own despair to latch onto, to pull himself out of the dark. He helps by reminding you that we are not defined by our suffering, and you in turn that we are not defined by our past.
Your studies and interests align with a 'jack of all trades' approach, endlessly searching for new experiences. Despite polar opposite lifestyles, you help balance each other out. Nurturing a more positive outlet for his escapism, your storytelling, like the movies you love, really resonate with him. Meanwhile, he pushes you to have new experiences, to help make your pieces come to life. Getting into the rhythm and stability of enjoying life for what it is and what it could be. Eventually, you realise the ability to make your own story, which is more powerful and meaningful than anything that the gods could determine.
It absolutely blows me away that no-one has done or even considered, in fandom spaces, the idea of making yandere Mona Lanius ASMR. I will give you anything, hell, I'm enthusiastic enough, in the same vein as a man that is so desperate in starvation he'll start to naw at his own leg, that I'd be willing to make my own script at this point.
I miss what I wanted enjoying the Creepypasta fandom to be. Feels like the 2010s were a boring time to be a teenager online and general fandom became underwhelming when you aged into things just as they were phasing out of their peak, only able to take in the glory of the aftermath of fandom. Maybe it wasn't what the fandom was but the yearning it created.
I wanna play designer thinking of what my room in the slender mansion would be like. I want to devise a tragic backstory extreme in hyperviolence which is a metaphor for my preexisting trauma. I want to explore rp where I have a community of fellow outcasts, in a cycle of revenge against the person stand-in for societal cruelty.
I live in a very middle-of-nowhere, nothing-interesting-ever-happens state. It's been 6-7 years since we've had a cosplay convention. This January!!! Me and my boyfriend are doing a couple cosplay of Enki (me) and Ragnalvdr (boyfriend).
Hi! Hope you’re doing great! Not sure if you’re still doing these but if you are, I’d love a match up.
I go by she/her, I’m a lesbian, 18 and esfp I think.
Looks-wise I have long (bleached) blond hair, brown eyes, I’m decently tan, and I have an athletic build I think? I’m also 5’4. I wear a lot of light colors, jewelry, and love athlesure. I’ve also been told I look mean but I swear I’m not!
I’m normally very bubbly + outgoing, love talking to new people and absolutely an extrovert. I’m not great at staying serious for too long though and really don’t do well with planning. I’ve been called ditzy a decent amount too.
I love to shop, talk, go out, do nails, work out, and listen to music (a lot of pop and rnb lately). I also really like hearing about what other people are interested in even if it’s not something I like. I’ve always thought learning about people was fun.
As far as things I dislike go, I can’t stand when people lack empathy, but I also really hate feeling disliked by anyone. I don’t really like getting my hands dirty ever, and feel awful if I don’t think I look as put together as I usually do.
Thank you so much!
Our first lady! You meet after one of Darce's military campaigns with the Rondon Kingdom. Struggling to rationalise the unforgivable war crimes she's become a part of, she's beginning to lose everything she has put her faith in. Drinking her sorrows away in a tavern before her chance encounter with the midnight sun, hoping to find a prayer at the end of the bottle to somehow fix her resolve, she instead finds salvation in good company.
Your extroversion helps you thrive in what's a much more simple life without the comforts of modern technology. With word of mouth as the only experience you have outside of the rigid gender roles of medieval society. Isolated to your community, you find yourself straining every piece of gossip to the last drop.
Constantly seeking out people at the local tavern to hear new stories, especially from travellers passing through. The glory of the battlefield being something of legends intwined with gods and prophecy, there sits a female knight like something stumbled out of a fairytale. Who would miss that?
Social interaction in medieval society is heavily segregated by class. Typically, the commoners knowing their place only talk to her as a superior and noblewoman look down on her for being too masculine. But the same reasons she's often isolated are why you are so drawn to her, you find yourself asking rapid fire questions.
She's not used to being so revered. Her gut reflex is to treat the situation with an era of caution, like how as a soldier, when encountering the player in the gardens, she never turns her back to the potential threat. But your enthusiasm quickly bats away at her defences.
She sees pretty damsels in a completely different world. Instead of being defensive she becomes vulnerable, her sense of hostility replaced with protective instinct. Your tanned muscles attract her in the same way that Le'garde's strawberry blonde hair reminds her of the sun. Mixed with your respective feminine beauty drawing her in like a moth to a flame. Talking to you, she finds herself completely disarmed. Flustered and stammering over her words.
Through recounting her adventures as a soldier, she's quick to confide in you her guilt about the evils her knighthood has become a part of. Talking to you eases the heavy burden on her heart, able to find someone sharing the same high morals to help her navigate this complex tie between her indoctrination and her own conviction.
Sharing a similar struggle, your whole life, your community and church have been one in the same. It's the responsibility of the group to uphold the values that help to keep each other safe.
Your eagerness to learn was often scrutinised, so you had to use your charisma, to put your curiosity within a framework that other people were able to understand. When you show interest in different cultures, it's not that you question god's will but are eager to spread his word to as many people as possible. When you wonder at walks of life different from what is expected of you, you are not straying from the path intended for you, but admiring god's different creations.
You can't stay serious for too long, so it's hard to harbour a grudge towards the townsfolk when you are the one to worry about keeping in people's good graces. So once everything is back to normal, it's easy to chalk things up to a misunderstanding and carry on. But this can't help but get you thinking, is the difference between you and those subjected to witch burnings judged by heresy or their ability to fit in? She would let you know how relieved she is to find someone like-minded to speak too.
She'd spend her spare time seeking you out, to replace her despair with comfort. Your answer her prayers, because you love her back, your enthusiasm meeting her devotion head to head. Attaining peace isn't just an abstract idea, but found in protecting pious people like you. Secretly, its comforting to channel her faith through one person over the stress of the bigger picture.
That is why she is so loyal to Le'garde; constantly compromising her morals in his name. As long she puts her faith in him, she can believe in a happy ever after. But while a Kingdom can take decades to conquer and repair, she can save you at any time without the heavy price of war. Darce finds herself much more content with the idea of getting her hands dirty for you, drawing her sword in your name.
Her faith is divided at a crossroads between her ideals and her desires. Tossing and turning in her sleep, trying to grapple with the weight of her actions. It's a nightmare where she's stuck in the middle of a battlefield with Rodon and the midnight sun on either side, until she hears your voice. Maybe it's selfish; there's the false promises of Rodon, the cost to achieve peace by The Midnight Sun, then there's you.
She'd take you somewhere far away in the outskirts of conflict where you two can live in peace. Mirroring the relationship dynamic between Nosramus and their devoted knight. Whether the lifestyle of endless or enlightened soul, constantly travelling to meet new people and experience new cultures. Or caressing soul, to settle down in a peaceful cottage, somewhere close to ports, so you can mingle in the market place, to experience the world from home. If it means you will be hers forever, she'll protect you to her dying breath.
While Marina is a private introvert that thrives in her internal world, Samarie is a bleeding heart extrovert that wants to bring that internal world to the surface, to be validated and seen. We see this quite literally manifest in the other world, a world just for the two of them, before she moonscorches. Samarie will never have the acknowledgement she needs from Marina, because while Marina thrives in an internal world, Samarie is deeply suppressed by hers, wanting so desperately to be radiating, shedding herself open for all to see. She needs a fellow extrovert that can share the world with her, that can truly understand her.
You initially approached her, opposites attract. You live to make friends from unique walks of life and a world war is enough of an excuse to latch on to people, killing game aside. 'She's making fun of me, isn't she?' She would feel the need to read your mind in order to protect herself. But surprising, what comes through is an inner monologue incredibly similar to her own. A fellow bleeding heart, the way you think, the way you act, just makes sense to her on an instinctual level.
This shifts uncomfortably in her stomach, tugging her heart and brain in different directions. Behind the justification of soulmates, is the exposed gaping wound of just wanting to be loved by someone. As someone that still manages to love herself yet struggling with the same deep yearning, she can't help but start comparing herself to you. That kindness when she's so cruel to herself. Your toned body to her scarred and malnourished state. Samarie cannot rationalise these feelings as attraction so it festers.
Thus, begins a one-sided rivalry, while you are completely unaware as to what is going on. Samarie needs to keep tabs on you, she agrees to join your party! Meanwhile, the radiation of the moon gnaws at your subconscious; the fears you share, lulling you closer together. You help protect each other from similar threats. Using her mind reading to figure out if people have sinister intentions, so your empathy isn't wasted on people that would exploit it. When not able to read other people's thoughts, she begins fill the blanks fuelled by her own, often believing the worst, as she spirals into paranoia. You use your social intelligence to contextualise peoples thoughts in the real world. As her social skills develop, so does her understanding of the difference between her fantasies and reality.
Rocking in the corner when followed into the Other World. Samarie opens up how she saw the parts of herself she could not accept staring right back at her through you. Behind that confidence, a spiral of panic she is all too familiar with. Worried you said the wrong thing. Worried that you'd put off her of all people!? Not wanting to shake the boat, between the distance from your thoughts to your words, what comes out is a more censored saturated version of your true feelings. For instance, when someone is saying something you disagree with, you're guilty of only mentioning the parts that you do agree with. Behind all that bravo, just like how you're scared to get your hands dirty, you saw how terrified she was to attack Father Dommek, and followed her here to help comfort her despite your own fears. For the first time she looks up at you, really looks at you. It's a slow burn, but overtime she's able to open up to the possibility that someone else could care about her.
They still do, lol. But in all seriousness, thank you. I've been posting consistently since the blog started, but for the past couple months I've fallen off. There's a lot of reasons for that.
Uni has been getting more intense (med student), lifestyle changes (social gatherings in the form of weekly DnD sessions, going to the gym) and some big life changes (eg., living independently), have been taking up my time. I'd like to say I'm going back to posting as soon as, but I need to focus getting on top of the things that are on a need by basis for my life.
Because of that, I'd like to take this opportunity to be completely transparent, that I don't know when I'll be back, but I haven't given up. I will finish all the requests I've gotten and move on to any new ones that I've received. I just need more time.
Thank you for all the love my fellow Fungers! To be continued...
Hi ! I hope you’re having a wonderful day ! I was wondering if I could get a fear and hunger termia match up please !
I’m 22 years old female , I’m 5,4 with long blonde hair and blue eyes , I’m bi but I prefer men overall .
Personality
I would like to say I’m a pretty shy person when you first get to know me but I will slowly open up overtime . I prefer to listen then talk , Im all ears !
Interest ~
I’m love theater ( acting watching I love it all !) I enjoy reading and and doing puzzles !
I hope this is enough sorry it’s kinda short …
Hi, I try to do my best with what I've been given. You just have to be okay with the fact that the less specific the request is the more likely I might end up being off the mark, despite trying my best. I hope what I've written is okay!
For your first match, I will pair you with Marina. If Marina ever had the chance to attend a more normal school with typical class extracurriculars, I can definitely see her becoming a theatre kid. As a changeling soul, exploring her identity is a core part of her human experience. Where taking on a new persona is not taboo but encouraged, is why a lot of LGBT kids end up gravitating to the theatre club, especially trans youth like Marina.
Her father's strictness would forbid her getting involved in any 'frivolous' activities not affiliated with academics, So, she'd only join during her final yeas of graduation, when she is confident enough that she can balance theatre with maintaining her straight A student status.
While Marina's confidence brings an excellent stage presence to her performance, she struggles with some feelings of self-doubt. Being the daughter of *the priest* of the town, she feels alienated from her fellow peers. Assuming that they might lump her in with the same conservative values, there are seeds of doubt that people might consider her an outsider of the group.
Not wanting to overstep, she uses a lot of self-deprecating humour and over formality to be friendly. However, she comes off as so confident that no one wants to tread that line of friendship/relationship unless she takes the first step, creating a self-fulfilled prophecy. Not wanting to have the pressure of fitting in the group, she seeks out fellow introverts. That's when she notices you.
Your timidness contrasts with your skill on stage, giving the impression that you know what you're doing to be able to tap into that persona. Just like how Marina is drawn to the quiet soldier, she finds the shy actress equally mysterious and intriguing.
She approaches you first, wanting to find a sense of belonging with someone with similar interests that comes off as kind. If she sees you reading a book, she'd ask you about it and ask if you'd like to come to the library to read with her.
Marina struggles to bounce off of someone if she doesn't already have a point in common or a joke to play with, like with Olivia, their conversations often stretch with an awkward silence. She's happy to have someone listen, the feedback makes it easier to manage conversation. She might struggle to relate to people, but it makes it easier for both of you to open up about your emotions if you two already know a bit about each other.
For your second match, I chose Pav. Being shy makes you as 'easy to pick on as you are on the eyes', if you can spare the eye roll. His melodramatic nature bleeds through all his character interactions. His fighting sprite is stuck in a perpetual Jojo pose.
His goading in response to the quick whip of his pistol; he likes the feeling of being clever. He would find a lot of enrichment in doing an escape room with you. Completely free to show off his wit in the leadership role that he thrives in as a Bremen lieutenant.
I could see him reading over your shoulder to make comments and observations the same way that someone might watch tv over the couch. You have to ask him to stop making predictions because they were so accurate they started to become synonymous with spoilers. The type to grab a script off your hands while you're practising to spontaneously recite like Shakespeare, he's quite proud of his dramatic readings.
Tldr; Marina and Pav, but overall I think Marina is your best match.
Hi my friend 🥰 are the funger matchup requests still ongoing? If not, you can delete my ask, I won’t be mad!
I’m 20, INFJ, pan and she/they. (So I like all genders.) I have bad social anxiety and I’m really shy, but I always try to be positive and I’m trying to improve in that aspect. I still get told I come across as really timid. I spend a lot of time online 😞 that’s where I make most of my friends hshfgsd
I’m an artist, I like to draw traditionally, paint, digital art and I write too. One of my hobbies is journaling, but I also write fiction. I’ve wrote like…. 13 fear and hunger fics on AO3. I also like to sing (used to be in choir back in high school, I also took singing/piano lessons since I was a kid). Basically I like anything creative. I also like to bake, read, I used to do ballet but now I have some health problems that make me pretty weak.
I’m pretty normal. My favorite things are horror games, movies, books…. I know a looot of them. Horror games are my favorite though. I’ll basically play any horror game even if it sucks.
My favorite color is green, my favorite food is any sweet food, my favorite flowers are roses and my favorite animals are seals, but I like all animals. I don’t know if you even take appearance into account, but I’m 5’6, I have long black hair w bangs, I wear glasses and I usually dress in dark clothing (brown or black). Also I have green eyes.
Thank youuuu 😚
Nosramus might have an enigmatic presence but they see themselves as 'just an alchemist'. Forever remaining humble knowing there's always something new to learn. They would appreciate your versatility in the creative field, much like their versatility in academics.
I believe both you and Nos share the INFJ personality type, which is perfect for observing the science and art all around you. You both take turns being each other's muses, talking about your respective work and ideas throughout the day, deep into the night. Truth is stranger than fiction. Especially in Nosramus's field of work, they like to tell you bizarre stories about the occult and history, that goes on to help inform your art.
Enlightenment is not just a lifestyle but a philosophy based on values such as equality; pursuing science as a virtue, it's good to know how discoveries will go on to affect actual people. Much like how they study ancient civilisations of the lizardmen, learning about different societies helps with their scientific insight. Discussing your art and favourite media, the conflicts and world building create thought experiment, that help them to consider new perspectives for their research.
Although, their research delves into the occult, they live quite a mundane existence. If you take away the surrealism of the dungeons, the motions they go through in their daily life lead quite a typical domestic lifestyle.
Studying at home, going out to harvest food and maintaining a civil relationship with neighbours, such as the lizardmen. Meanwhile, harvesting mushrooms, like we see them kneeled down in the caves, means they have a love of fauna that parallels your love of roses. Having to walk on water to access one of their laboratories, means they've probably befriended the salmonsnakes.
You two spend your day living an extraordinary ordinary domestic life. Copying the same type of relationship a trainer at a zoo might have with a seal, you two spend time by the rivers edge feeding the sea creatures, when you're not going out for a stroll. Investigating the plant life for your respective favourite flowers and mushrooms, by the end of your walks Nosramus likes to hand you little flower arrangements.
Levi shared timid nature draws you both to similar social circles. Eliminating a layer of social anxiety by talking to people online. You'd find each oother through discord, reddit, Tumblr, ect. Sharing similar interests, your relationship would be a slow burn of the little moments. Small conversations here and there in the same forums; building up to mutuals, then friends. The close proximity of your relationship providing a sense of comfort, with being able to skip the awkwardness of learning each other's ticks.
Seeking thrill and catharsis through the same places, horror and music, allows you to bond through quality time. You don't always need to fill in the silence with conversation. Instead, most of your time is spent playing games or listening to music together.
Although you cannot dance the conventional way, you can still dance to the rhythm by using your voice and playing the piano. Levi can be found lamenting by the piano in the Prehevil Bop club his inability to play. If he hadn't been conscripted as a child, music would be the perfect escape for the dysfunctional home life that would lead a modern Levi to drug abuse. Especially since Levi and you with your timid nature, struggle with verbally expressing your emotions. Sharing so much of your life together, you two duet, in and out of music.
Tldr; Levi & Nosramus are your matches, but overall I think that Levi is your best match.
