I mean... Happy Casto and good ending Lamy are great but WG!Lamy and Psycho!Casto just hit different in a very killing way

— You know, I've had to explain Casto before to a few friends of mine, and I've tried my best to go down the entire iceberg of his storyline but between 20 crewmates that have to perish in war, several years of human experimentation, 5 siblings, a dynasty of noblemen, a war of succession and everything intertwined with Louis' storyline I feel like it's best to summarise it as "he's a fucking idiot written by a fucking idiot"

And I hadn't even gone through AUs cause I didn't think I could explain the Crow AU, then the Stylist modern AU, the Idol AU and the Lord of the Bean Wall AU without sounding psychotic

She steered the guy away from the lens before she skipped around to peer through the visor, shoulders slumping in relief. „You‘re a lucky chap.“ She squinted at him over the rim of her thermos can, mouth pursed. „One millimeter to the side and I wouldn’t have been able to see anything!“

         CASTO slowly stepped aside, observing quietly as she checked the device. He slowly crossed his arms in front of his chest, and leaned forward towards her. At first, he had been eager to examine the telescope and bring all his learnings to the young engineer in his crew, but the disdain in her face seemed far more entertaining.

❝ My goodness... I guess that’s very lucky of me you have stepped in just in time. ❞ Casto’s tone was overdramatic and playful.  ❝ Especially when the expression in your face is oh so terrifying, milady. What can I do to compensate you? ❞

      She didn’t like the little ashes off the cigarette. The warmth was not welcome, but she didn’t mind it because the man himself seemed kinder. She could see that he might be someone a little nicer. People were often secluded, but nice in a lot of ways! She hoped her judgement wasn’t incorrect in this case.

      “ i’m n not a runt! ”

      She immediately huffed, Galapagos crossing her arms and shaking her head, tail stiff and emitting a certain anger. More light grumpiness. It wasn’t like she could look very angry, it was cute and fluffy no matter what. But she could try..!!

      “ not llost…j just exploring… ”       Exploring an area she had…no idea about-

         ❝ You’re small, so much I nearly stepped on you. You’re definitely a little runt but as you wish. ❞

Eliazar finally dropped the cigarette on the ground, putting it out under the sole of his feet. Stress had been getting out the chainsmoker out of him, but he didn’t want to hear another earful from his wife for smoking near kids.

As her voice reached his ears, the Duke got down on a knee, leaning forward to observe the child before him. Her poor attempt at threatening him seemed to amuse him, but his face remained frozen in an uneventful gesture. Finally, after much pondering, he quietly offered out his hand to the young one.

          ❝ Then, as the master of this palace and protector of this country, it would be very irresponsible of me to let you explore on your own. My children are quite curious and the eldest one has the tendency to be... overwhelming. I could escort you around if you wish so.❞

He gave a small nod at the mention of Luffy. He had to ask Shanks one day about what had happened back then, the man that was once Roger’s apprentice returning from the East Blue without his strawhat and left arm. To think it was all connected to Ace as well, with the boy being his adopted brother.

“Sending allies to the territories so we may keep the core crew at full strength would be best.” He contemplated out loud, weighing the options for a moment before coming to a decision, “Very well. We can send you over to Foodvalten, I’m sure you’ll do well there. We have a few eternal poses, speak to Marco for one before leaving.”

         CASTO quietly listened to the man’s decisions before letting out a long sigh. Even after so long following the strongest pirate, for the young captain it was still hard to grasp the reach of Whitebeard’s power. How far was Foodvalten? Definitely not anywhere he could reach withing a few days. 

❝ So casually sending me to a faraway island when I’ve just arrived. ❞ He spoke jokingly, brushing away his bangs to uncover his sight. His hands quickly descended to the back of his coat, pushing them back as he sat down on his knees. ❝ I do have a small inquiry to make, but books have no longer seemed useful so I’ve come to you to seek for some answers. Would you be okay with that? ❞
