guess what you guys… I MET NANA YESTERDAY 😭😭😭 she’s actually the sweetest
I was cosplaying Niners Kira, and before it was even my turn she turned to look at me and went “Niners!!”
She complimented my cosplay so much it instantly made all of the time and effort I put into the costume worth it😭I was also kind of insecure about my nose ridges made of scar wax but one of the first things she pointed out was my nose and said I did a good job which took me out immediately (I went “it was hard!!” and she said “I KNOW”😭)
I brought my copy of her book for her to sign and she was so excited to see I had it (there were so few trekkies at this con it was SHAMEFUL)
one thing about my book tho is the cover got put on upside down… and so before I give it to her to sign I tell her my copy is ✨unique✨ and show her how it’s flipped and she just went :o
then took a video of my book to send her editor😭😭 she was like I need them to know this happened!!
and what I’m still absolutely losing it about is that she asked if she could have the con staff with her take a picture of us on Her phone so she could post it. WHAT. WHATTTTTT NANA VISITOR HAS A PICTURE OF ME ON HER PHONE NOW😭😭😭😭😭😭(she hasn’t posted anything yet and I’m really holding back from obsessively checking) (even if she doesn’t end up posting it I will forever be losing it at the fact she liked my cosplay so much she wanted her own picture)
so basically I will never be normal ever again. nana i love you
UPDATE: she put the picture of us on her bluesky!!!!😭😭😭💓💓💓
also forgot to mention, since my book is messed up, she signed the inside of both sides, and on the side that looks like it’s *supposed* to be the front she wrote “Sometimes life is like that.”
