These are from the same teeswater fleece with around 6" staple length. The pink locks have been separated before washing and the mustard locks have been separated after washing and dyeing. The pink ones look wayyy more delectable but the mustard ones take half the time to prepare. Would you rather pay less for the squished up locks or more for the perfectly separated locks? Last night I spun up this batt that has been unloved in a forgotten corner of my studio. It's mostly natural white/tan alpaca, a little grey and pale icy blue merino, cream and grey bamboo. Very smooth and boring. I spun it into a thick single with lockspun sections of icy blue kid mohair and random tailspun wisps of mustardy copper. Hot damn, I love it! So much for "boring" pfffft.
