hello shay !!
i had a thought the other day that i could literally shift with music, like for example, zen by jennie always makes me feel so self assured and confident but another shifter (they were more experienced than me) told me that it wasn’t possible to shift with music bcs it’s distracting, i was wondering what your take on this was ?
why are we listening to shifters say something ISNT possible? is that not an oxymoron? when someone says something isn’t possible, you laugh at them. we live in a universe that has no end or true beginning. anything is possible.
adding to this! when someone says "you can't shift if you do (x)", what they usually mean is "i don't think i can shift with (x) so naturally i assume it's the same for you". when in actuality them placing that restriction on themselves doesn't mean you have to do it as well, @midnightlvrs. it doesn't matter if the person is "more experinced" than you — they're not you. they cannot dictate what is distracting for you. so keep doing what makes you feel confident regardless of what anyone's take on it is.

Now don’t tell anyone, but out of everyone on earth, Nessa’s my fucking favourite. She’s not like anyone else. She keeps to herself usually, she’s soft, caring. Last fall she disappeared for a week with some guy 10 years older than her. Of course it wasn’t her fault, it never is. she had valid reasons. Her mom drank and her dad was always absent, and on the rare occasion he was in the picture, Nessa’s life felt so much harder.
I’m in awe of her, she’s so sweet — despite everything she’s gone through — and beautiful, and can so easily wrap anyone around her finger. Nate Jacob included, but she might’ve been the first girl not interested in him.
She is however, interested in my good old friend, Fezco O’Neill. I think. Don’t tell her I said anything. I actually have no clue what the deal is between them but whenever she needs a new vape or anything, she goes to see him, despite living on the other side of town.
I’ve caught them kissing a couple times, and more (gag). Ash and I love teasing them about their obvious feelings while they deny everything. Ash is always telling me about how annoying and mean fez is when Nessa ain’t around, but I guess that’s the effect she has on everyone.
