You’re at a party with your best friend at the time, Ella. The house is filled with loud music, people everywhere, and the strong scent of smoke and alcohol lingering wherever you go. You and Ella are sitting on a couch with some random people, passing around shots and blunts like it’s candy.
You’re mostly sitting back and letting Ella talk, too messed up to focus on the interaction when you see a guy approaching you. He has fluffy brown hair and bright blue eyes. He sits next to you on the couch, saying something to one of the guys next to you, making them nod and walk away.
“Who are you?” You question boldly, a permanent smile planted on your face from the alcohol. “I’m Gunner.” He replied, taking a sip from whatever was in the red solo cup in his hand. “Yn.” You state, nodding your head towards his cup. “Whats in that?” Your question makes him smile slightly, passing you the cup.
Ella cut you off from the alcohol so you graciously accept it, he doesn’t tell you what it is but you don’t really care, just wanting to get wasted.
Gunner watches as you take a big gulp of the drink, flinching at the taste as you hand the cup back to him, landing him a little chuckle. “You real pretty” he says, his lazy smirk growing in a way that almost makes you melt. You roll your eyes, your smile growing wider and your face getting hot.
“You’re bold.” You tease, to which he replies; “bold enough for your number?”
After that it’s kind of a blur. You guys started to text each other, then texted more often, then start calling all the time, then start hanging out all the time. Eventually you both ended up having feelings for each other, and even though you both confessed you didn’t do anything about it in an attempt to keep your friendship steady.
Sometimes when you were hanging out and both faded as hell, you would end up on the floor in his bedroom, the quiet hum of some slow rap song playing from his tv and you’d both lean in for a kiss. Neither of you would ever talk about it again though, pushing the feelings down.
