been thinking about what it is the draws me so much to Dunk and Daeron as a ship, and apart from them being very handsome, i think there is a gentleness at their cores that would resonate with each other. For example i think they are both united in their affection for Egg, both trying to take care of him to the best of their abilities though they're not necessarily equppied for it.

Also the angst aspect is so good, because i think these two would both believe themselves to be undeserving of the other.

Dunk is an orphan from Flee Bottom, he squired for a hedgeknight and might never even have been knighted himself. He's got no right to even come near a prince, so why would Daeron even deign to spend time with him?

Daeron on the other hand sees the honour and courage in Dunk. A true nobility that he knows he can't touch or he would only spoil it. Dunk is pure of heart and Daeron is a lost cause, how could Dunk ever come to look at him with even a modicum of respect?
