Some Shiloh headcanons!!!

I headcanon Sawyer to have pretty bad nightmares about what he does for the Highway Man along with whatever screwed up stuff he's seen in the Shiloh & the Sticks, to the point he actively refuses to sleep, hence the very prominent dark bags under his eyes.

Also that Sawyer, Dusty and Shane kind of have an internalized fear or discomfort of being called crazy or something because of all the crap with Corrections and Shiloh's psych ward (look at Chloe's reaction when Hollis calls out her secret, that place had to have been literal HELL based on her look of absolute terror followed the tears) they don't really react to it much since living in the Sticks + Ollie and Mantis + Highway Man, but it's there, and it comes out pretty harshly when they're distressed enough and someone catches them at the worst moment.

Sawyer doesn't mind people rambling to or around him, since Ollie definitely seems like the talkative type, along with Sid telling Dusty about her fight Mantis over and over.

I'm thinking about also going for the fact that Sawyer's unusual eye color unsettles people to the point they just spill their guts to him but idk. (Now I'm thinking Hollis collects blackmail on purpose, but Sawyer just wants people to STOP TELLING HIM THEIR DARKEST SECRETS PLS HE DOES'T NEED THE EXTRA STRESS OF SECRET KEEPING ESP IF IT'S JUICY

(And now I am reminded of the fact I had Solo!AU Sawyer become OBSESSED with information because he has to stop / outrun S.H.A.D.O.W., poor guy…))

They keep any books they have in the chapel in Shane's room bc he keeps them in the best condition.

Ollie and Sid try to get Dusty to read to them because she's more animated than Sawyer, who reads like he's giving a freaking college presentation, or Shane who either scoffs or keeps commenting on the propaganda or how badly written it is.

Based off of @thefatesaltar 's headcanons on Sid, all the Bandits each have a drawing she gave just to them after asking what they'd want her to draw for them. I'm 100% projecting bc for a while, I would ask my family members if I could draw anything for them then I'd draw it on my tablet and give them an HD copy. I haven't quite come up with what their personalized drawings would be though….

Idk if they have Strawberries either growing wild or in Shiloh in their area, but Sawyer would FUCKING LOVE STRAWBERRIES. AND CHOCOLATE. Okay, I headcanon that if he got the chance Sawyer would be a foodie, it's just that given their living situation it's virtually impossible. (blame my Emirichu food vlogs binging for this lmao) And since this was also inspired by a headcanon from @thefatesaltar , he 100% enabled Shane's cooking habit in Shiloh. Also I feel like in canon the Bandits would find the concept of a burger pretentious, because to them it's just a fancy sandwich. tf is a burger? "you mean a sandwich, motherfucker??"

All the Bandits are afraid of losing each other. They never say it, they never discuss or hint at it, but it's there. Sure it's a bit messed up in several ways (Sawyer having definitely killed Shane in the past, i doubt the gun accident was the only one hkjdhgkjdhgkjs) but all of them would be shaken if they lose one of their own.

sorry it too hours to get to this i saw this morning but i have had such a day. jesus. ANYWAYS what better to cheer me up than one of my fav moots and shiloh!

ABSOLUTELY sawyer would definitely have that presence that makes people just talk to him. i think (aside from his eyes) is that he just doesn't talk too much and it seems like he's listening and people LOVE being listened to. sawyer is constantly internally either rolling his eyes or wishing it would stop

AWWW SYD DRAWING FOR EVERYONE that's SOOO accurate. they each have their drawing in a special place. sawyer has it in a small collection of personal items he keeps in a box. ollie has it hung up by his bed. shane also has it kind of "hidden away", tucked between the pages of his favourite book. dusty (bless her heart) lost hers because that girl is NOT organised and she had to tell syd who made her another one

i like the idea that they grow food. at the start, since both sawyer and shane are/were colonists, they just snuck back in and stole stuff from shops and markets. after so many years they only need to go into the colony for specific supplies (medical stuff, sawyer's cigarretes, etc) because they can hunt and they grow things by the chapel. sawyer surprisingly likes gardening, he told me himself

Time to spread my headcanon propaganda as well:

-all the bandits are extremely good at flirting except for Sawyer. His idea of flirting is telling someone that they fight good like Li Shang.

- Animals are able to sense demons or the presence of them so they are constantly afraid of Ollie which makes him sad since he's an animal lover.

-Sid braids her hair out of pragmatism/ it's easier to avoid getting caught out in the woods. She'll probably wear it down more if she lived in Shiloh. It used to be shorter before she met the bandits.

-Dusty's real name is very old fashioned/embarrassing so she prefers to only go by her nickname. The bandits do know her real name but it doesn't come up.

-Shane never apologizes for anything.

OKAY.... Singer AU

Shane is the star who got into trouble with some shady folks (washed up country singer called Highway Man or smth) and now most of his earnings have to go to said shady folks because they have blackmail on him.

Dusty is the bodyguard who smuggles in the booze. She practically leapt at Shane's job offer to get out of her home situation. And now she mostly chills in the lounge with her drinks when she's not offstage watching out for Shane. Also has bartender experience.

Sawyer is also a bodyguard, but he's mainly there to help Shane out because he his half-brother/cousin. He also goes to look out for Shane at events despite his chronic knee pain. Most of Shane's fans are afraid of approaching because of Sawyer. (Sawyer is blissfully unaware that he has his own fangroup, no don't tell him, he doesn't want to know lmao)

Ollie is the hairstylist and helps out with costume design and tailoring. Also works as a part-time bodyguard, either helping Sawyer or stepping in when Sawyer can't show up.

Julian is also a costume designer, and he handles the schedules, appointments, etc. This was supposed to be a short job but it just dragged longer and longer.

(I honestly don't know what to do abt Sid in this)

i feel like syd wouldn't even be a fan of shane's singing but she snuck into a concert bc a friend of hers wanted to see him. she's like, a kid in a bad situation, maybe running from foster care? fast forward and she gets caught by sawyer who realises after she begs him not to call the police that she's in a tough situation and decides to just. keep her. like going through all legal stuff to adopt her. she ends up drawing posters for shane's shows and hanging with dusty backstage and it's the best times of her life
