I don't even know what I'm doing but Maria and Yggdrasil, I'm curious.
Who would be the big spoon? Maria, don’t think she’ll ever get over the fact that Ygg isn’t as squishy as most Casters. Also secretly the Spaniard’s a bit of a cuddler when she wants to be.
Who would wake up first? Maria, only because she wakes up seriously early sometimes. I think occasionally she may sleep in for longer than she intended to and Yggdrasil will end up waking up first, when that happens it’s a surprise to the both of them.
Do they have nicknames for each other? Not really, perhaps lady and tree respectively, to poke a bit of fun at each other but that’s it. It’d be weird, in Maria’s opinion, to give the spirit of a big cosmological tree a nickname.
What happened when they met each other’s parents? Does Ygg even have parents? Part of me feels like they’d skip that step for the sake of ease, however I do see it not going very well, because Maria’s mother would probably ask a lot of questions that would be uncomfortable for either of them to answer and there’s a lack of harmony in their answers. (Like Maria says Ygg is from Denmark and she introduces herself as being Norwegian or something, silly mistakes Maria wouldn’t make)
How do they apologise after an argument? Maria sort of throws gifts at her awkwardly until her partner gets the idea. Ygg on the other hand is much more diplomatic and a little less awkward about it.
What would they be like as parents? The sort that take a step back and let their child do their own thing, they’re both nurturing and loving and they install the whole magecraft attitude inside the kid pretty well. But said child will make their own mistakes and learn from them, won’t be coddled and all that. Maria’s ever so slightly more reassuring though, because she makes a conscious effort to be and Ygg’s the more serious parent.
Who is the better cook? Maria unless tree food is better than we first assumed.
Who is more romantic? Maria, she’s a practiced romantic after all and she plays the part of passionate lover very well.
What sort of gifts do they get for each other? Maria would probably get her old antiques, the sort of things most magi hide jealously and she’ll pay top dollar for them too. Ygg buys her strange contraptions that Maria ends up using in her golems.
Who gets jealous easiest? Maria because she’s very possessive of what she considers hers.
Who gets more excited for events e.g.. Birthdays, Christmas? Neither of them, there’s no real need, however Maria rather excitedly drags Ygg down to the large parties she so often hosts and poor Ygg probably suffers from it all.
Who is the most adventurous? Ygg, although it’s hard to tell at first glance.
Who is the most protective? They’re both about the same, really. In different ways.
What would they have been like as childhood sweethearts? Maria would probably be the senpai sort of figure, assuming this is AU where Ygg is human, and she gets along well with Ygg because she seems so damn mature for her age. As they grow older, Ygg becomes one of the few that Maria considers to be on her level and it only seems natural that from that that she’d grow attracted to her. Genuinely a story of being attracted to one’s intelligence tbh,
