okay so I’ve seen a lot of artists,including myself, make this common mistake of coloring the palm of a hand(and the sole of a foot) as the same color as the person’s skin tone.

but in fact ,palms and soles are a different color compare to our skin

this is due to the lack of Melanin on them

I have an uncle who is super dark and his palm IS lighter than the rest of his skin, but not by much. His son’s hand is completely the same colour, if not only slightly lighter, I haven’t really compared but it looks pretty much the same colour.

Not trying to say OP is wrong, but rather that people on both sides exist and to take that into account. Making some people you draw have fully brown palms and some have light palms is a pretty good way to add further diversity to different black characters, especially if you’re the kind of artist who struggles to make faces look different from one another and have to use things like hair styles, clothes, and adding/removing freckles and blemishes to differentiate your characters.
