His name is José Alberto Aceves Salvador and he is a rare person. He will graduate from New Open World Academy in Los Angeles as the valedictorian and he is already accepted to all 18 most prestigious Universities in the US including Harvard, Cornell, Princeton, Yale, MIT, UC Berkeley, UCLA etc. His parents moved to the US in their 20s and have always worked hard to provide their 5 kids with necessary things overcoming all the obstacles so that their children could succeed. And this paid off! They can be proud of their son. José’s goal is to graduate from an Ivy League school with a degree in bio-engineering and start teaching himself.

“The teachers I’ve had in high school and in middle school, they just influenced me throughout my life,” he said. “So I just like thought that I really want to come back to my community and be like, ‘OK, I can help you do this. I want to help you pursue this career. I want to push you into this STEM field,’ or something like that.”
