bantamism (or dB7+ as it's written as in fion catalogues) is a condition that's seen in most sirens caused by a partially deleted 7th chromosome. the most noticeable things this condition does is making them less scared of interacting with other animals, along with making them look "cuter" with larger eyes, smaller bodies, and more muscles in their face to speak and emote better.

thats a very good question!

socially speaking 'heavy' fauns (like painted urbans and most farmed types), sirens, and diggerhorns are kinda treated like separate species.

what people think of when they think about heavy fauns depends on what country/culture (e.g; americans would think of painted urbans, but an irish/english person that doesn't live in the city would think about fauns associated with the traveler community/european immigrants, like ballyer blues or opolskis).

most people outside of the faunoculture community don't really know much about farmed unlicenced fauns, so most farmed fauns are portrayed inaccurately as feral types in media (e.g; a farm animal toy set will usually have a painted urban faun instead of any kind of domestic breed)

people generally like sirens but hate diggerhorns, mainly because sirens are good at being cute and diggerhorns sometimes eat livestock and are predators of "cute" wild animals like deer and rabbits, also they sometimes cause car accidents on purpose if they cant find any other food. its kinda like how people see monkeys vs how they see sharks (people think monkeys are cute but can be really powerful and dangerous, and people think sharks are dangerous and scary but really they don't attack people on purpose and are just trying to live)

i plan on going more in detail on this topic with some drawings to go with it but this is all just the basic idea.

Had a real scary dream about a faunlike horse (probably a Secretary) being kept on a farm, but then savagely killing and eating someone before breaking loose of its paddock and menacingly skulking around out in the open. siren/diggerhorn crosses are really popular within the exotic pet trade, plus a lot of modern anklebiters have at least one siren relative so their offspring look less like an anklebiter and are less likely to be confiscated by authorities. plus the traditional anklebiter coat pattern just isn't needed anymore, it was originally bred into basically every line because a lot of the AI CCTV detection software didn't recognize fauns with that pattern as fauns. nowadays though the AI is a lot better plus basically everyone knows what an anklebiter looks like, the only times you'd see a traditional anklebiter pattern is on brummys (makes them look more intimidating) or in working fauns bred specifically for film and TV to play anklebiters in action movies.

as for the unlicenced/official crosses:
