Anthony continues to be an idiot in Chapter 12 of Love Like Winter which is coming Friday
Omg I can totally imagine them going back and forth trying to get Neddy to stick to an American or Canadian version of a word or his accent 😂 statistically kids tend to speak the language(s) their mom speaks even if a household is bilingual I wonder if that also applies to dialects of the same language 😂
Okay but imagine Neddy calling it a “Toqueanie” because he doesn’t want to pick. And damnit if that’s not the most adorable thing Kate and Anthony have ever heard.

Okay but the imagine of Anthony skating around the ice with tiny Neddy in a baby carrier? Adorable.
Kate’s ready to pull Anthony into the bedroom as soon as they get Neddy down for a nap and tell him it’s time for baby number 2. It’s so fucking cute. Kate actually wasn’t aware they made helmets that tiny but Neddy’s got one strapped to his head as Anthony circles slowly around the ice.
Anthony is of course not wearing a helmet, because why would he be, and he’s grinning as Neddy giggles at the movement. Kate stays watching from the sidelines rather than joining them on the ice because she likes watching them together. She likes watching her husband wave their son’s hand at her as he loops around again. She loves listening to Neddy giggle. She even loves the tiny bits of snow that are in Anthony’s hair as he stops in front of her.
“He’s almost as good as you already, Babe.”
Kate rolled her eyes, “Yeah yeah yeah. Very funny. Hockey player’s wife can just barely skate. I’m way better than I used to be.”
“That we agree on.” Anthony grinned, “Unfortunately the baseline was low. Neddy and I have talked about it at length.”
“Okay, give me back my baby if you’re going to use this bonding time to talk smack about me. Next you’ll be getting him to call a beanie, a toque.”
“I literally can’t have this argument with you again!”
Now I’m not going to respond to the anonymous message I got today because I don’t want to give you a platform for that but there is one thing I want to reply to
Honey, darling, sweetheart. I have OCD 😂😂😂 Several times I’ve been able to convince myself that I hit another car in a parking lot and have made myself physically unwell, despite the fact that there was no evidence!!! Pls be so serious 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Today I woke up and there was no cold water coming out of my bathroom sink tap. Hot water a plenty, cold water to every other tap but not this one. This afternoon, with the help of a middle-aged plumber on YouTube I thought I fixed this problem by getting tide of the “airlock” in my tap and I was congratulating myself big time for this. “I’m a fucking marvel,” I thought to myself as I ate a celebratory choc-chip cookie maxibon.
Anyway, I’ve just found what that there was actually a water main leak near my house causing this to happen to a bunch of people and it just so happens they repaired it at exactly the same time I “fixed” the problem 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Anthony announcing to his family he’s planning to ask Kate to move in with him like
“Some of you may remember my beautiful girlfriend, Kate-”
Benedict blinked, “Kate who’s… down the hall in the bathroom?”
“I think I have a vague recollection of her.” Violet mused, “is she blonde?”
Anthony gave her a dry look, “Hilarious. I am spending this off season engaging in a plan to ask her to move in with me.”
Simon snorted, “Surely this is a 2 minute job.”
“Simon, this sort of cheek is not going to fly when we’re teammates again this season.” Anthony said, feeling his blood pressure rising
“Love you, buddy.”
“Damnit, I love you too man, I’m so hyped!” Anthony whispered excitedly before he cleared his throat. “I have a deck being built for Kate while we speak. And I’d like it if each of you could come up with an anecdote of a time I was fun to live with in these next two weeks.”
“Anthony-“ Daphne started, but Kate’s footsteps sounded in the hall and everyone went quiet.
Kate looked startled when she walked in, blinking around at the unusually quiet room. She chuckled, “What, were you all talking about me?”
Anthony let out a sharp bark of laughter, pulling her in for a hug. “Of course not.”
Benedict cleared his throat, smirking “Actually Kate, I was just remembering when Anthony still lived at home and we all got pulled into strange meetings in random locations. Once it was Mum’s craft room closet. So quirky and fun.”
“Err?” Kate looked at Anthony giving him a bemused look, “He’s a riot this guy.”
“And I look great without my shirt off. What’s not to love?” Anthony said, mouthing I’M GOING TO KILL YOU to Benedict who kept grinning.
“I find his surprise game plan huddles kind of adorable though.” Kate chuckled, “I mean I’m not sure we need to have them in a Trader Joe’s parking lot but needs must.”
“How else will we know what new snacks we want to try?!”
Have edwina and matty and kate and anthony had any double dates? Are they surprisingly fun or did they try it and soon learned to never do it again 😂
I think Matty and Anthony find the fact that they’re dating sisters inherently awkward. Like there they are getting off the plane from a roadie and Anthony nudges Matty,
“Are you…? Seeing Edwina tonight?”
Matty nodded, “Yeah, I’m headed there now. Wanna carpool?”
Anthony cast his eyes skyward, “Nope. We’ll take separate cars, thanks.”
Anthony feels a little thrill when he gets there and realizes he’s beat Matty there and gotten the better parking spot. It even feels a little awkward when Kate’s lips meet his has the front door opens and Edwina calls out from where she’s eating dinner on the sofa.
“Is it yours or mine?”
“Mine, but yours is coming down the hallway.”
It’s horrendously awkward when they’re sat in the kitchen the next morning, Anthony suddenly feeling very self-conscious in his boxer briefs, trying not to make eye contact with Matty wearing his own boxers.
“We need to start spending more time at my house.” Anthony said suddenly, turning to Kate.
“We really do.”
Am I awake at the arsecrack of dawn ready to drive an Hour to the city because my nephew asked me to come to his swim class this morning? Yes. He said “Peaaaassss”
