i'm thinking about the fact that ezreal is innately magical. i'm thinking about the taboos of magic within the realm of runeterra. i'm thinking about a world where one of ezreal's parents was a mage and he never knew about it, and it was when he first used the gauntlet of ne'zuk that this innate magic within him was awoken, and he still doesn't know because he has no reason to think it'd be anything but the gauntlet. i'm thinking about the fact that ezreal's parents adventured far and wide, into areas which likely persecuted and hunted mages like him. like one of his parents. his parents who never came home. thinking about his uncle knowing this about him and intentionally keeping it from him as a means to protect him. his uncle trying to quash his adventurous spirit and discourage him from searching for his parents or leaving piltover at all because he's so terrified he's going to lose this boy too. just thinking a lot!!
