So would anyone like a starter? I'm still a little jittery with this muse. Little unsure of myself. Like if you'd like a starter.
She pauses. Eyes casted downwards for a moment. Counting her purchases, the ones she had gotten for her sector. Wanda's gotten at least a bags worth today. The trip back, that's the hassle.
She's concerned. Eyes focused upon that of a person. That seems to be struggling. Not a seeker in sight, but she's still concerned for them.
"Excuse me. Are you alright?" Her voice quiet almost shy as she speaks.
There's a half smile on her features despite the barren landscape and the lack of people. Souls she calls them considering humans are the living races in these barren areas. Not all souls are bad. She smiles to herself staring at the fire she's made.
It's not like her home in the caves, but she loves stars. It reminds her she's not alone.
Warm humid heat. But she's found shelter by a lake. The water not only cooling but also a relief to the heat and her shower. She's been in caves most of the time. But now she's outside doing raids and helping the humans. She's not scared of lying for them. To protect them, though she would never resort to violence unless needed. Souls are gentle and kind. None the less she brings water up to herself once more, the water cooling her off.
There's a pained scream that escapes her. Trembling and shaking from the onset of the fall. It's one of the rarer times when she gets hurt on a raid, because seekers had gotten too close to them. Wanda had fallen to distract them. Now she's aching all over. She might have a few bruises, but that's beside the point. She's pretty sure she has a broken finger, or fingers. She needs to fix her bones. She's got medicine in her bag for that.
Humans are such fragile beings. Getting exhausted, being hungry. The way they are, are different than souls. But then again, humans, are humans.
Wanderer was once just a soul. She fell into humanity, and learned to love it. Wanda lets a breath escape her. Looking over the woods. She thought she was alone, when she was making it back to a rebel camp full of humans.
She had been mistaken.
”Maybe this time you can help. 5’9”, black shaggy hair, blue eyes, he would be carrying a rifle and a bag. Not much for talkin’” Bucky Barnes had been someone he knew before the hosts had come. Before they’d taken him away and made him into someone else. He knew it was bluff on his part, but somehow to get her talking, distracted, he’d find if he could trust her or not. Didn’t help she looked so young, fragile. The hosts might’ve taken her family too. Mother, father, sister— someone probably gone from her side, making her stray to a park. If he could trust her, that is, he’d pity her.
It sounded familiar. The way that he described him. She has met many humans. Wanda had traveled, showing rebels how to heal the humans, take the souls out. She had taught.
"Does he have a name? I don't stay in one place long. Chances are, I could have seen him." She kept her distance, unable to get close. She was self-aware of being cautious towards humans. "I've helped other get their loved ones back. I'm from a sector out in Arizona. There's third-seven of us there."
His eyes narrow and he glances around, there’s no security present and no one else is home. Left alone, again. Clearing his throat, TJ frowns and shifts where he stands.
“Are you a l r i g h t?”
“Alot on my mind.”
Nothing you need to worry about. Fingers sweeping to move her hair away from her face. "Trivial things really, I travel a lot." Simple enough talking. Kept it simple, the less details the better.
Exhale. Breathe. She had to breathe. Wanda had made it this far. She had enough things in her bag. Enough to last a few weeks on the road. Gun hidden in the bag, despite ever needing it. She could just talk and lie to souls to get what she wanted.
Just a little more, and then I can be at home.
Sanctions of the city where he could find refugee were getting smaller by the minute, hosts slowly finding themselves in his friends, his family, people he wanted to trust, leaving him back on the road, a bag and his name left as he wandered. Far enough to meet the outskirts of the city, staring back at the dim lights of his old home. The hosts were taking everything he knew. Tracing on the map, some last ditch effort of finding a safe place for him, just tonight, where he could rest his head on the grass and not be worried of being caught or accused. Steve set eyes to a park, yet the closer the distance caught, he noticed someone sitting there already. The itch in his throat getting worse as he knew it was either trust whoever was there to not try to kill him, or to draw his gun first. Maybe talking. ” ‘scuse me, Have you seen anyone around? I’m looking for my brother.”
Her eyes flickered upwards. Her attention brought upon that of the human. The questions such as that not asked by others. Souls never cared for siblings, or others, they were only concerned with whom they knew.
"What did he look like?" Her voice was quiet selfless. She was so human. So human. She chose to do things for them, rather than her own needs. Her sister, Mealine had changed her.
She was wary to let people get close though, because of her eyes. Often wearing sunglasses, which where tucked on her head. But she wouldn't use them.
"A lot of people ask me, about family. I've only been able to help so many."

“Did you follow me home?”
The look of disbelief crosses his features and TJ glances around, frowning at the lack of company. No security, no one else home, left to deal with this, a l o n e
There's a slightly concerned look on her features. Eyes sweeping over the other, fro a moment. It had been unintentional to say the least. She hadn't been paying attention to where she was going.
"I'm sorry, I hadn't meant to, I must have been thinking too much."
She's exhausted to be honest. Having been on runs left and right. Being there for the humans when needed. But having to find shelter in a city. It's less crowded than the larger ones. She's been on the move for weeks. Jared told her to meet up with them in New York. Told her there were more humans in the city, but blended in.
She hasn't heard from Jared in a bit. But she knows him well enough to know they're strong. Besides there's too much of a fight in them, for them to be caught.
Right now, she's just sitting outside in a park. Looking normal, because she is a soul in a human.
There's an expression framed like innocence across her features. Her small features coming to glance at the women whom had been trailing her for a few miles. She had thought she hadn't been followed. The seekers were harsher these days, with trailing her, on raids to the city. But she chose this. Wanda wanted to help what was left with humanity. She was going to use the fact she was a soul against the others. "Is there a reason you've been following me?" Her eyes always held a sliver to them. But she was so much more of a human, than the parasites overwhelming the humans.
