really struggled in middle school, highschool, and college- not because he's dumb, but he just struggled to follow class structures and couldn't get along with others well. His parents often pushed him to do better which only made him struggle more.
for the first year of working at MARKED (the tattoo parlour) he would sneak shots from his boss' liquor after his shifts when he was closing. thought it was "reasonable compensation" for staying late. He was eventually caught and his bos sholds it over his head everyday.
