1979 Rare pictures of the opening of Boulevard Nights I posted other ones but these ones are not the same these were apparently forgotten about and stored. These young Chicanos & Chicanas wanted to make a point because they felt Hollywood movies were stereo typing and profile casting Mexicans and other people of Spanish speaking descent in movies making them all look like gang members and ignorant people.  This was at the Picwood Theatre on Pico Boulevard during the movies private screening the movie was released a week later.
