Final. 

Rhythm poster. 

This poster was created based off the Rhythm type previously created (last post). The focus of this poster was to emphasize the rhythm happening within the system of type created. The poster incorporates the word rhythm with imagery from the poster to describe the content happening within the original Rhythm type. Using abstract form and basic composition skills the poster demonstrates the boldness, fatness, and square strikes happening within the Rhythm type.

Final. 

In about two weeks I breezed through the history of type. I listened to the visual language of the tool (a paint brush) and my hand to see what felt natural. After a while I created a system of type in order to demonstrate a new natural exploration of letters. Towards the end a system of strokes and consistent rhythm were created to connect all the shapes and forms of the letters.

Final Six Word Memoir posters.

Six word memoirs were created in this assignment. You had to intigrate image and type in order to communitcate a messege. Figuring out how to convey a message clearly and creativiely using both type and image was the assignment. You had to use your images as a way to show what you meant in your six words.

Final A.

Final Y and L that were successful in completion. 

Also a process of A’s. Exploration of reconstruction and deconstruction of the letter A. Through this variety of mediums and approaches to changing the A, it was an exploration that lead to much discovery of form and shape of the letter.

Final Word Interpretation. 

This was working to put meaning to the way the word is presented that is parallel to the words meaning. This project you could change the case, size, spacing, placement, and orientation of the letters, we could also omit, repeat, overlap or do things of this nature to the word.

Final letter over letter. Making two letters seem like a great pair so that they flow easily and almost form the other one. Instead of it just being a letter on top of a letter, these two letters work together to one unified shape.

About Chair book

In this book there was exploration of believable images and selections of fitting scenario's in order to create a book that told a story. A story that you could fallow clearly down the path of believable scenarios and objects interacting with their surroundings. 

This was a very interesting project that taught a lot through its process. While you may interpret one thing from an image, another person may see something completely different depending on their background. Knowing your audience and making it believable for them to walk through the book was a challenging task. Yet it seems that in the end it showed that you have to keep playing around with ideas in order to convey a message that can be clearly understood.

Final Word/Word. 

Playing with words using type. Experimenting with how type can change the meaning of the word. While it may be the same word, you read the word differently because you read the type as well as well as the word. Each type speaks another language, a language that gives a different message and meaning.

Two final A's. 

Reconstructing and Deconstructing the letter in order to create not a decorative letter but a new type of letter while still maintaining legibility.

Final play. After reconstructing and deconstructing the A, the same design was placed into the P,L, and Y in order to create the word play. Working to give the same look to all the letters the same as the A, without just decorating the letters in order to make a new brand of letters.
