@ngnir
I started out as a tomboy and ended up being a lesbian
me irl
I just had this realization that Kit Kats used to be wrapped in foil and have paper labels and I’m reeling that I remembered this and that I lived through the transition to plastic wrappers.
My mind is actually blown like…I can’t complete I forgot that
Whoa. You conjured memories I didn’t know I even had.
this image catapulted my consciousness into my seven year old body
Oh god, yes! And the happiness of licking the melted chocolate from the inner wrapper…

Been there
like to charge reblog to cast
2018 sucked ass but we’re not giving up y’all
Because there are always pregnant people, the average number of skeletons in a body is higher than one
I never needed to think about this, but now I’m reblogging it and all of you can suffer as well.
maybe i’m overthinking things but the idea of some carol singers showing up at your door, telling you to bring out some pudding and insisting they won’t leave until they get it like in the classic “we wish you a merry christmas” is honestly terrifying
me: *opening the door* merry chr-
carol singer, pointing a glock at my head: your figgy pudding or your life
Oh I know this one!
It’s about an old English practice called Wassailing.
“In the middle ages, the wassail was an exchange between the feudal lords and their peasants… The lord of the manor would give food and drink to the peasants in exchange for their blessing and goodwill… Wassailing was associated with rowdy bands of young men who would enter the homes of wealthy neighbours and demand free food and drink… the householder refused, he was usually cursed, and occasionally his house was vandalized.”
Oh and the name comes from the mulled wine like alcohol they drunk while doing it. It mostly fell out of practice but they still do it in some places in Scotland.

so you’re telling me that on christmas day it was tradition that people would show up at the houses of the wealthy and powerful and demand to be provided for or else trash their house??? why did we stop doing that and how do we bring it back
24 hr christmas music station: rudolph the red nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nose
some fucking primal part of my psyche that will NEVER let me live in peace: like a lightbulb🎵
In the meadow we can build a snowman. Then pretend that he is Alton Brown.
