Adios 2014.
What to say about 2014... I guess we'll start off with the lessons and see where we go from there. Lesson 1. When you're stagnant, you're dead. Quite often reality will not match with what you thought it would be- don't fear. Looking back to a few years ago I definitely did not think my life would be where it is at today but that's okay. Age does not define when you will have your shit together.
Lesson 2. It's okay to be "alone" You don't need other people to make yourself valuable. A partner, more facebook friends, instagram followers, you don't need any other form of external validation. Self validation is key, until you can self validate, you will always feel like you're lacking.
Lesson 3. Don't try to change people This lesson I learnt quite a while ago but it wasn't until 2014 that I'm able to say that it is a lesson that I've learnt WELL. Love people for who they are, not for their potential or who you wish they would be. Losing a few people in the process will be well worth it.
2014, the year where I stepped out of my teenage years, overcame bitter truths and really learned how to get what I want.
Welcoming you with open arms 2015, please be kind. I just want to be happy
