I almost get a speeding ticket as I drive to the Boyles’ house, wanting to get there as soon as possible.
It’s been a long day at a modeling shoot and all I want to do is hang out with my boyfriend, his teammates and their partners, and watch some hockey.
Lauren, Brian’s wife opens the door for me as soon as I arrive.
“Hi!” She cheers, pulling me into a hug. “You look so exhausted.”
“I am, it’s been a long day,” I laugh.
“Well, I know what you’re here for. Nico’s over there,” she points in the direction my boyfriend should be in.
We haven’t been dating too long, just a little over three months, but it feels like so much longer.
We clicked as soon as we met and now we spend practically every waking point together.
I touch Nico’s back gently so he knows that I’m there- his face lights up as soon as he sees me and my heart flutters at the reaction.
“Hi babe,” I lean up, kissing his cheek, smiling at Taylor who’s standing next to him.
“Hey, you look cold,” Nico responds, pulling off his leather jacket to pull over my shoulders.
“I’m really not, I’m actually pretty hot,” I reply in confusion, trying to push his jacket off of me.
“Really? Because you look like you’re getting goosebumps, which is understandable.”
I glance down at my outfit in confusion, rolling my eyes as it clicks.
I didn’t get the chance to change after my photoshoot- which was a lingerie photoshoot- so I still have on the lace bodysuit.
In my defense, my boobs are completely covered and I pulled my high waisted jeans up as far as they could go so I’m not showing that much skin.
Still, I give in to boost Nico’s confidence, letting him wrap the jacket around me.
“Y/N! I saw you in a commercial last week,” Rachel Greene, Andy Greene’s wife, says as she approaches us.
“You did? That’s great!” I respond.
“The Pink commercial? I saw that one too,” Taylor adds, smirking at the thought.
“Me too, you did great, Y/N,” Miles joins the conversation, eating a handful of popcorn.
“Did great or looks great?” Taylor winks at Miles, nudging him.
The two burst into laughter but Miles nods approvingly.
Nico stiffens from behind me, grabbing me by the waist and tugging me closer into his body.
I look up at him in confusion but he avoids eye contact with me, instead glaring daggers at Miles and Taylor.
“Come get food with me,” Rachel grabs my arm, knowing that I want to get out of this conversation.
At some point during the party I take Nico’s jacket off of me.
It gets extremely hot and we go outside so the sun is beaming down on us.
Francesca is telling me a story about her son when I hear the patio door open.
“What did we do to deserve this view?” I hear a male voice murmur.
“Hischier’s a lucky man.”
“Did you see her new ad? Oh my god,” the voice lets out a low whistle.
“Bikini?”
“Crop top with booty shorts.”
“Holy shit. What I would do with that.”
I’m actually starting to feel uncomfortable with how these guys are talking about me, but I know they won’t act on their words- coach would be pissed if Nico requested a trade.
And I know he would if they acted on their dirty words.
“Come on, let’s go,” a familiar voice announces abruptly from behind me.
I turn around in confusion, staring into Nico’s hardened face.
“Nic? Are you okay?” I question.
“Let’s go,” he repeats.
I turn back to Francesca, shrugging. “I’ll see you at Lauren’s birthday party next weekend, alright?”
She nods and Nico pulls me out of the party before I can say goodbye to anyone else.
I don’t think he said goodbye to anyone, now that I think about it.
“Now that I think about it, we need to go to Lauren’s birthday party next weekend. We could just drop off a gift and have a date night,” Nico tells me.
“What are you talking about? We love Lauren, we have to celebrate with her.”
“Yeah, but I think a date night is long overdue.”
“Okay,” I pull Nico to a stop in the middle of the street.
I turn his tall figure around to face me, wrapping my arms around his waist to make him look at me. “What is this really about, babe?”
“I just think that a date night-“”Babe.”
He sighs, wrapping his arms around my waist. “Fine. I don’t like how some of the guys talk about you.”
“Me neither,” I laugh.
He looks surprised at my reaction.
“But they’re your teammates. Above all, they respect you and what you do and say, so if you tell them to stop they’ll probably stop.”
“Maybe,” he leans forward, resting his forehead on mine. “I don’t like when other boys even look at you, but when they talk about you-“He makes a noise in frustration, which causes me to laugh.
“I understand, baby.” I pull back, tugging him towards my car. “And if that doesn’t work, threatening to tell coach always does.”
if you ever think about sending me an ask and decide not to cause “oh she doesn’t care” or “oh I don’t want to bother her” literally I’m the loneliest piece of shit you can find and would still love you if you sent me the word nuzzle over and over again

I did not think that the “Katie, tag me in that” that came out of my mouth would have such a huge impact.
I knew that I would get some Instagram follow requests, since she’s dating Jamie Benn and all, but I did not expect the Tyler Seguin to be one of them.
“Katie, why did your boyfriend’s teammate request to follow me?” I ask.
“What?” She furrows her eyebrows in confusion, taking my phone from my hand. The rest of the girls let out whistles and sounds of approval.
“Which one?” Y/F/N asks.
“Does it matter? He’s a hockey player, she’ll dig him either way,” another girl answers.
I roll my eyes, taking my phone back from Katie. “You accepted it! And you followed him back!” I cry out.
“He’s a good guy,” she defends.
“Katie, I heard he’s a hoe,” I whine.
The girls start screeching, at this point they’ve realized its Tyler Seguin.
“Y/N, he’s hot and he’s a nice person. Give him a chance.”
“Well there’s nothing I can do about it now,” I mumble, rolling my eyes and turning off my phone.
It’s only late that night when I get the chance to check my phone again.
I have a new notification, which is surprising considering I don’t get many notification.

I click on it to see that it’s a picture from my birthday. My birthday last year.
I raise my eyebrows. So he’s been stalking my Instagram, hasn’t he?
I turn my phone off with a smirk.
Tyler Seguin is an interesting character, I’ll give him that.

I don’t check my Twitter as often as I check my Instagram, but I do like to check it from time to time because there’s often drama on there that doesn’t move to Instagram.

My Twitter username is completely different from my Instagram username.
It dawns on me- Katie follows me.
He probably looked me up and found me through Katie.
I follow him back, this time voluntarily.
Five minutes later I’m scrolling through my timeline when I see a tweet from the devil himself.
It’s just a winky face emoji.
So I tweet the smiley face with sunglasses emoji.
He tweets the guy with the eyeglass emoji.
I tweet the star eyed emoji.
He tweets the face with a halo over it emoji.
I tweet in response, are you going to continue subtweeting at me or are you finally going to talk to me?
My DM goes off.
Tyler: hey
I can’t help but snort. That’s all he’s got?
Y/N: You followed me on Insta, liked my post from last year, and followed me on Twitter and all you’ve got is hey?
Tyler: Well what would you like me to say?
Y/N: How about you ask me out, hockey player.
Tyler: Do you want to go out with me, Y/N?
Y/N: Of course.

We’re walking down the street towards the movie theater after our dinner, just talking and laughing, when Tyler reaches out and grabs my hand.
I turn to smirk at him. “Pulling moves already, Seguin?”
“Didn’t I already start doing that when I liked your post from last year?” He smirks back.
“I wasn’t sure if that was on purpose or not,” I throw my head back and laugh.
“Damn, I should’ve liked more,” he makes a ‘aw shucks’ motion.
That’s the moment I first knew that I loved him, and it was on our first date.

“And that’s how we started dating,” I finish the bedtime story, straightening out my youngest son’s duvet.
“I swooped into her DMs,” Tyler adds.
Our sons giggle as I roll my eyes at my husband.
“Did you go out?” Our oldest son asks.
“Of course, that’s why you’re here now,” Tyler replies.
I hit him in the chest, turning back to my son. “Yes honey, your dad took me out to dinner and a movie-“”A classic date-“”And we fell in love.”
“Fell in love and had lots of babies,” my husband nods, confirming my story.
I roll my eyes. “Will you stop and let me tell the story?”
“We share stories, babe! We’re married and have kids, remember? We share everything now.”
Y'all I'm trying to find the magic trick from the NHL Awards where he throws the takes the corner of the card and throws the knife into the goalie glove, do you know what I'm talking about? Does anyone know where I can find a clip of it?
GUYSSSS THIS IS URGENT!!!! This shelter helps over 400 street animals, and it’s donations fell over 80% in the last 2 months.
They are out of money to buy even DOG AND CAT FOOD!!!!! And they have a debt of around 100K Brazilian Reals (so around 25K American dollars). If they don’t pay 60% of that until August they will close up and all of the animals will have to go back to the streets, not to mention the several hundred that will be denied the help they need.
I know not everyone can donate and that there’s more urgent matters in the media now, BUT THOSE ARE LIVES NONETHELESS!!!!! HELP PLEASE

The night you first met Auston it had been pretty clear what it was. He took you to his place at about 3AM after you’d been glancing at each other in a club for ages. He had eventually come up to you with the most decisive look you’d ever seen. It took him a few simple words and you were gone, just like that. But you were a one night stand, at least for that night. It was one hell of a night though.
A month later you’d met again, at a bar this time. Mitch had recognized you from across the room, you and Auston then proceeded to exchange looks throughout the night before you finally went home with him again. The sex was even better that time.
The next morning Auston had saved your number, and the two-time thing became a booty call. And for about three months, you had been just fine with it. But then came month number four, which was one month ago now, and things were different.
